The silver lining of people getting sick at your restaurant chain? The earliest adopters in terms of heading back to give you another shot don’t see much of a line. Walked in to a location in the back bay at 11:55 and were the only people in line — surprising in this busy area. I’ve always been a fan of chipotle but I scared off with the recent news headlines. That said, my burrito today was of the quality that I came to expect and the hot red salsa was spicier(which is a good thing) than I remember. All in all a successful return and I’m still standing 8 hours later!

Hesitated going in because the line was long, but the workers got everyone in and out. Burrito was perfectly wrapped and the ingredients were fresh!

We love Chipotle and this place ruins the franchise. The portion size is tiny and service is rude. Avoid this place!

Slicing my quesadilla without gloves? Really? Also sweeping food from the tables onto the floor? Hygiene on point.

You know what to expect from Chipotle. It’s the food equivalent of a spring break trip to Cancun. Both are vague approximations of Mexico but couldn’t be further removed from the actual culture and culinary history. You can get a solid, somewhat healthy meal at most Chipotle’s but the reason this location gets 2 stars is that the ingredients don’t taste as fresh as in other locations. The vegetables aren’t crispy. The beans were soggy and the guacamole(usually Chipotle’s specialty) was just okay. The service also left something to be desired.

Great service. Bomb food. Awesome energy during the rush. I had a burrito with brown rice, chicken, pinto beans, hot salsa, lettuce, cheese and sour cream. It had my mouth watering. I was really really happy after I ate and full.

First of all, let me start out by saying I’m a big fan of Chipotle. It’s my go to when I can’t decide on what to eat. That being said, this is probably one of the worst Chipotle locations I have been to. The staff are not very friendly and continuously mess up your orders… The orders are made very messy. Also, the place smells unclean on occasions. In addition –the drink area is always very untidy –the garbage is almost always overflowing and not emptied –the bathroom smells of urine, as if someone has mopped the floor with it I really dislike leaving bad reviews, especially for a place like Chipotle, but this particular location really needs to work on their cleanliness and staff!

Not sure why there are such poor reviews. Service is fine and so are the portions. Location is also just fine. I’d go again.

Freshly prepared burritos, a delicious hot sauce and friendly staff. Keep in mind: the Guacamole costs extra!

Ignore the low ratings on this one, it is a fantastic Chipotle! Ordered my usual chicken beans & rice bowl and as per their MO the portions were huge. I almost always order the chips, and these were just as expected — a hint of lime, super crispy and gave another layer to my bowl. There was a line at 12:15pm, but it is literally in the middle of all the action on Boylston so I expected there to be a wait. There was no wait at Boloco(a few doors down) but let me tell you it is because the food at Chipotle is way better. If you are in a mood for fast mexican food this is the place to go!

I love Chipotle, but this location has to be the worst. The lines are always really long, and the staff here are rude and seem miserable all the time. The portions are so small compared to the other Chipotles in Boston, and the guac is not as good as it should be. The seating upstairs is never clean, with tables filled with pieces of food and things that should be cleaned. I rarely ever see a staff member go upstairs. I wouldn’t recommend coming here — go to boloco nearby instead if you want a burrito.

First of all, the portions here are ridiculously small. It looks like half a bowl when I got it. The girl serving the meat was like meticulously measuring the amount of food being served… and when we asked for more, she just added another measured tiny scoop… leaving us totally speechless. Second, the staff here are not helpful. Despite that they look miserable all the time, which makes you wondering«what have I done wrong», they don’t care about customers at all. We ordered tortilla on the side and they just simply forgot at the end. Just moved to Boston from LA, so have to say that Chipotle has been a crucial part of my life. But seriously, this location has totally ruined our Chipotle. Now I really miss the large portions, fresh guac, friendly staff, and of course the sunny weather there. Please tighten up and don’t ruin the name of Chipotle.

Worst chipotle I’ve ever been to. 2 out of the 3 times I’ve been there they said they didn’t have guacamole. There were piles of avocados, just no one taking the effort to make it. I’m pretty sure a majority of people go to chipotle for the guac. My friend once paid for an avocado cause they were out of guacamole. They charged her 3 dollars and gave her a frozen one that didn’t cut. Also, the chicken is rarely fresh and the service is unbearable at times. I usually come in and the employees are joking around with each other for a few minutes before they notice the customers. Definitely my only bad experience at chipotle and it happens every time I go to this location.

It seems silly to write a review about Chipotle, since a) it’s an established, well-known fact that food here is amazing, and b) it’s a chain restaurant. But I wanted to write a quick comment since this location seems to have a bad rep on Unilocal. The service at this location is fine, definitely nowhere as bad as the reviews say. Perhaps the staff took the feedback here to heart! :-) Sure, the folks aren’t all smiles and sunshine, but they are polite and have never screwed up my order, or that of the many colleagues I’ve been here with for lunch. Whenever I go for lunch, no one is goofing around and ignoring customers; lines are long but they move very quickly. I wouldn’t let the bad reviews here keep you away; give it a go!

If you want customer service… Don’t go there. Boloco right down the street has a happier and friendlier staff, and their burritos are really good. Chipotle has a decent burrito. Too bad the girl has no idea how to wrap a burrito so I’m left with something that has fallen apart. Will I go there again? probably, but when I’m really hungry and have no other choice.

Chipotle, as always, is delicious. If only I liked cilantro… Then I could enjoy their rice. Anyways, it’s located right next to the Wendy’s; I almost didn’t realize it was there since the exterior doesn’t really amazing. But inside, there’s so much seating and looks really nice. There’s even an upstairs to accommodate for more seating. Giving this chipotle 3 stars since the staff seemed like they were having more fun than paying attention to the people waiting in line. I ordered a salad with chicken and then realized I wanted the tortilla on the side, and the girl ringing up my order and said I should’ve asked for it in the beginning when I told them my order. Thought that was kind of rude because I don’t go to Chipotle all that often and she could’ve just gave it to me without saying that.

I usually only write reviews for places I enjoy bcz I support local businesses. But as a chain, this places needs to be called out for its shit. With that being said, this place is horrendous. They hired a bunch of kids who are more concerned with conversations than getting my order right. I work down the block from here and my staff and I were excited for the opening bcz we all love the food. But we have all experienced their mediocre service and terribly prepared food. The Chipotle at Downtown is SOOO much better. They should have opened a U-Burger instead.

I have to agree with the other reviewers. I am a huge chipotle fan, but… the staff at this chipotle are terrible. I stood in the slowly moving line today and witnessed an employee scream and get nasty with a customer who asked if her burrito could be cut in half. It was uncomfortable, and I was tempted to leave. The employees clearly need more training.

THEADDRESSON UnilocalISWRONG!(It’s actually right next to Wendy’s/CVS/same side as Nordstrom rack!) After walking around for 10mins looking for the illusive Chipotle that’s in Copley Square, I nearly gave up except that I ridiculously wanted a burrito with extra sour cream and corn salsa! The Unilocal App tells you to go around the corner from the boston public library and down the Fogo de Chao street — INCORRECT. Just keep walking on Boylston and keep your eyes open when you get near Wendy’s! The interior is fabulous at this location. Nice and modern with wooden panels everywhere and plenty of seating thanks for an upstairs area. There’s even a small area when you can people watch on those waiting in line below you, creeper fun! Anyways, the food is standard and pretty freakin’ good. It’s nothing short of what Chipotle stands for so you can’t go wrong! I usually get a chicken burrito bowl with the tortilla on the side so I can still enjoy it later, but get the«bowl-sized» portions – more bang for your buck! And since cheese and sour cream are not extras and I find the meat just ever so slightly spicy sometimes, I call for extras on those two toppings to make my burrito extra not-healthy. Will be back, and this time I will not be lost!

I have to be honest, I have never given a truly scathing review… but this place is currently so bad I have to. I understand that they are newly open, I get that it takes awhile to get into your stride as a business. That being said, Chipotle is a hugely successful chain. You would think they could get their act together faster than they have at this location. I live literally around the corner; I could throw a paper airplane at the back of the building. I also order takeout constantly(as any overworked 30 year old does). After 4 separate orders here, I am sad to say not one has been completely correct. I have been overcharged and undercharged then sent off without half my order, only to be looked at strangely by the cashier when I return asking where the rest of my meal is. You know takeout is bad when you feel the need to spill the contents of your bag on a table to check it for mistakes before you leave. I always have to here. We looked forward to their opening for months beforehand, openly joking that every other takeout place on the block had a problem. Good news for those businesses: as of now they definitely do not. I honestly cannot say whether I’ll waste my money there again, it takes the«hassle free» and«easy» aspect away the takeout experience entirely.
