At Cardinal Scholars, we provide private tutoring with top-​notch tutors from Harvard and MIT. We believe that the best tutors are not only masters of their subjects and exceptional instructors, but also can relate to their students more as a friend than as a teacher. This is why we give all our students and families the chance to learn about our tutors and choose the one that they think they’ll look forward to working with the most.

History

Established in 2010.

As an undergraduate at Stanford, our founder Dan J. was outraged to discover that the company where he held a part-​time tutoring job was paying him a mere fraction of what they charged parents. Convinced he could do better, Dan and his sister, Alison, set out to create a tutoring company that would provide top-​notch tutoring at palatable rates and with unbeatable customer service. Dan and Alison sourced great tutors from the undergraduate community at Stanford, and built an online platform to make the matching and payment process more efficient.

Since its conception in 2010, Cardinal Scholars has continued to develop its web technology to improve the matching, scheduling, and payment processes, and we continue to provide impeccable service even as we grow. We now offer in-​person tutoring and test prep in the regions around Stanford, Berkeley, Boston, New York, and Evanston, Illinois.

Meet the Manager

Taylor C.

Manager

Taylor is the East Coast Program Coordinator at Cardinal Scholars, which means she spends her days talking to students at Harvard, MIT, and BC, and reminiscing about the fall foliage along the Charles River. After graduating with her teaching credentials in English and a brief stint teaching Freshman English at Cambridge Rindge and Latin School, she took off on a trip to India and found herself traveling the world for two years. When she’s not thinking about the best ways to foster learning, Taylor spends her time trolling the internet for bizarre and adorable animal videos.
