Dr. Bourne is very nice and extremely helpful. His priority always seems to be careful work and good communication. He told me that I’d be a good candidate for laser eye surgery and where to go to find the most experienced providers. When a doctor offers information that will lead to not needing his services anymore, you know that you can trust him!

Last year, Dr. Bourne didn’t honor my health insurance and charged me full price for my eye exam(one for eyeglasses and one for contact lenses) even though he’s on my health insurance’s list of providers. He took down the information from my health insurance card and I’m not sure if he even submitted a claim. This year, I’ve switched over to Eyes Over Copley who gladly accepted my health insurance.

Dr. Bourne is pricey to purchase contact lenses from — not sure if it’s his fault necessarily — but it’s a definite drawback. He’s also kind of a pain about ordering from your vision insurance company if they offer contact lenses. He’s somewhat brusque but that’s fine.

I was a patient of Dr. Bourne’s for over ten years. He does a good job and is very nice. His office is convenient to where I work. But I switched recently to another doctor closer to home.
