Boston University EMS

I am writing this review with regards to the Boston University EMT class. Here is the good: the class is well-​organized. There are plenty of instructors, so you never get stuck with one personality or style. The lab are conducted well, and the observations are also organized for you so you can take almost anywhere you like in Boston. Here is the bad: if you are a professional taking this class on top of your job, stay away. The class instructors are very inflexible. They will treat you as if the only thing you have is EMS. If you are taking this class on top of another commitment, and something happens, they will not give you room even once. They treat most students like their young undergrads, instead of responsible adults. I guess this course is best suited for undergrads. In addition to that, many of the lectures are taught by students inexperienced in teaching. They almost all have adequate EMS experience (have been in the field) but many of them read the lecture from the powerpoint. Some of the are great though. All in all, it is more expensive than other course in the Boston area, and given how dogmatic they are, I am not sure it’s worth it.
