I found Boston Platinum online and they were the first place I called to try to have my fiancé’s wedding ring sized ¼ of a size. Anthony not only fixed his ring flawlessly at a perfect time for my fiancé to walk over on his lunch break, he also was a pleasure to meet. We will be back for any future jeweler needs.

I have since moved from Boston to San Diego, and when back to Boston for a work trip, visited Boston Platinum to see Anthony. Showed him my ring (which I adore and get compliments on it daily, 6 years later), which he polished for me for free. He truly is an artist and the best jeweler in the world!

This is one of the best jewelers you can find in Boston, hands down. I visited many of them personally and none of them really matched Anthony’s business. Anthony is an spectacular artist, and is very transparent about his practice. He made a great job coming up with a design that had all the elements I asked for even including swirls and filigrees. The whole piece was designed from scratch, and I believe there’s something really special about that. When some jewelers said «oh you have to pick a stone first», he made an effort to emphasize what was important for me, which turned out to be the ring setting. After almost a year, I have never seen anything as special and unique as the ring he made for my fiancée and I doubt I ever will in the years to come. Definitely will return to get the ring polished/​re-​sized soon. And I wouldn’t even think twice if I wanted to get any other piece of custom jewelry made :)

I needed to have my engagement ring resized and this gentleman did a great job on the spot. There was no way I was going to part with my beautiful new ring so I needed somebody to do it while I waited. Anthony explained the process to me and my fiancé and made us feel at ease. He finished rather quickly and polished my ring to perfection. It actually looks shinier now!

Anthony is amazing! Based on the reviews, I came here to get my engagement ring and wedding band soldered together. He did it in 3 hours and for $ 40. Every quote I had gotten before was $ 150+ and a few days turnover. Not wanting to be without my rings for that long, I never took the leap. I’m so glad I waited until I found Anthony. The rings are sparkling and perfectly attached — they look like they were made together! He was also super friendly and knowledgeable. If I ever need any jewelry or repair work in the future, I will only go to Anthony!

I was searching for a place to get my engagement ring resized in Boston for several weeks without much luck. Everyplace I called said platinum was the hardest ring to resize and it would take 2 – 3 weeks. There was no way I was going to part with my new ring for that long, so I went back to square one. On my first google search Boston Platinum came up, so I gave them a call. Anthony answered and was very helpful on the phone and told me to just stop by whenever I could.
I went in on a Thursday night and ended up getting there only 15 minutes before he closed, but he insisted (very happily) on fixing my ring right then and there so I wouldn’t have to come back in the cold the next day. He was very thorough about getting my correct size (apparently my knuckles are much bigger than my actual finger which makes sizing my finger very tricky). Within 20 minutes he was done and my ring fits perfectly now (and was returned to me the most sparkly and shiny I had ever seen it). The best part — all of this, even though I made him stay late, was only $ 20! I will definitely be returning to him to get my wedding bands in the future.

Not only is the owner Anthony one of the most honest, friendly and warm business owners we have ever met he also happens to be an amazing jeweler and artist. My fiancé and I stumbled upon Anthony’s shop during our visit to the jewelers building last winter and have been glad we did ever since! While helping me design the perfect ring for my fiancé Anthony was patient, informative and knowledgeable. His attention to the smallest details shows and the ultimately the final product said it all.
Now only a few weeks away from our wedding we just picked up the wedding band and Anthony’s amazing work has impressed yet again.

He was very easy to work with, extremely knowledgeable, easy going, and another huge plus, Anthony never pressures sales at all. I found my fiancé’s engagement ring in an antique shop. It was just what she wanted, but just a little too big. We brought it to Anthony to have it resized and he was incredibly helpful, professional, and fast! The ring (platinum) looks flawless, actually looks better than when we brought it in because he polished it. The service was very reasonably priced, less than I was expecting. We will be coming back when it’s time to choose the wedding bands!

My fiancé had my engagement ring made by Anthony at Boston Platinum and it is absolutely gorgeous. The fact that it was custom made just for me makes it even better! My fiancé said that he had a wonderful experience working with Anthony and that the process was honest, easy, and actually fun! This is the place to go if you’re looking to buy an engagement ring (or any other piece of jewelry). I had first gone to another competitor also in the Downtown Crossing area that had good reviews, but I’m so glad I went for a second opinion.
Anthony (owner) is really the best. He was so honest, straightforward, and helpful. He helped me understand what I (and my girlfriend) wanted, and did it at a very reasonable price. He was also very straightforward regarding his profits on the ring. He custom makes all of the jewelery, so each piece is truly unique.
My girlfriend (now fiancé) absolutely loves the ring, and we will definitely be going back for wedding bands.

Anthony is amazing. I bought my engagement ring from him and the entire experience was wonderful. Despite running the store by himself, he was always patient, answering all my questions and never rushing me or pushing me to buy anything. We took time selecting a diamond and he was completely transparent as to the price of the diamond and how much money he would be making from it. Once selected, we went about designing the setting, and within a couple of weeks, he hand made a beautiful engagement ring that my fiancé LOVED. The ring also cost several thousand dollars less than a price I was quoted for a similar diamond and setting at another jewelers (who I had left because of an unpleasant interaction).

I have an antique style engagement ring, and I needed a custom made wedding ring to curve around it and to match its intricate design.
Anthony quoted us at a few hundred less than the name-​brand retailer for the wedding band so we went with him. I had to give him my engagement ring for the day so that he could get the shape and pattern correct. Honestly, it made me super nervous to hand over a giant diamond to this perfect stranger, who promised to have it back to me by the end of the day. But sure enough, within 8 hours, I had it back, and in a few weeks I had a beautifully engraved, perfectly fitted wedding ring.
He’s a really nice guy and he does excellent work, it was all around a good experience.

Thank you Unilocal; this is one of those instances were I needed a local jeweler and relied 100% on Unilocal reviews. Anthony fixed a ring I had that was broken (twice now actually). He charged a fraction of what other jewelers were asking. He has also done some wonderful engraving for me. A few years ago my boyfriend surprised me at Christmas with a white gold necklace with an antique aquamarine pendant. He and Anthony had designed it for me. It is simple, elegant, and beautiful! While I cannot afford the diamond jewelry that seems to be Anthony’s specialty he has always treated me as a very important customer, no matter what I come in for. He is the best!!!

Up on the 3^rd floor of 333 Washington St, Anthony is easy to miss, but that would be sad. He is super friendly and very patient! My (now) fiancé and I went in thinking we wanted one thing and then changing our minds substantially. We had a pretty tight budget and ended up with a spectacular ring (sapphire, diamonds, platinum!!), under budget! Oh, and we’re engaged :-)
I’m bringing a ring to be polished and dipped in rhodium plating soon as well as having an old diamond made into a new piece of jewelry.

I had my fiancé’s engagement ring made by Anthony, and I absolutely recommend going to him. He is one of very few jewelers who does all of his work 100% BY HAND. If you want something fully hand-​made and custom, talk to Anthony. And his prices were very reasonable to boot, because he is a one-​man shop.
Anthony spent literally hours with me before I even told him I wanted him to do the ring. He explained everything, showed me his equipment where he makes everything by hand, drew examples right there to show me scale and size, and worked with me to ensure I was happy with the design and final piece. He also assured me that he guarantees his work for life, will resize at no charge, and even make changes and modifications if my fiancé wanted to do so, at no charge (except for material if you’re adding more metal or jewels, of course).
Anthony didn’t pressure me, and was perfectly okay with making the ring even though I bought the diamond somewhere else (because I happened to find one I loved elsewhere. Not because Anthony wasn’t knowledgeable or trustworthy.)
Most importantly, my fiancé absolutely LOVES the ring. And I love that I worked with a local jeweler who made it entirely by hand. I know there’s not another ring on the planet that’s exactly the same, as it’s not set by a pre-​made cast.
If you want a custom, hand-​made ring at a good price, and want to work with someone who will take the time to work closely with you, stand by his product, and work with you until it’s right, go see Anthony.
We’ll likely go back for our wedding bands as well.

Well talk about dumb luck… I sure had it when I wondered into this small shop on the 3^rd floor of the jeweler’s building.
My husband had been referred to a place that was closed that day. He needed to have his wedding band re sized and I had brought along my Mom’s old diamond ring to get some ideas about redesign. We went into Boston Platinum to ask if he knew if the other jeweler was coming in that day. Anthony welcomed us right in and gave my husband all his time and attention for this small repair. He didn’t even know that I had planned to evaluate my ring. When John was finished I pulled out my ring and we spent a good amount of time reviewing the design and materials. Such a nice guy, gave me a ton of options, called me when he said he would and had the ring ready when promised.
And the ring, OH MY, it’s beautiful! It looks like an estate piece, diamonds and platinum, completely designed by Anthony with all my preferences executed beautifully.
I would completely trust Anthony to work on any of my jewelry and his prices seemed reasonable.

I went to Boston Platinum with a sterling silver ring that needed to be repaired. A few years ago I essentially ripped through one side of it in an accident and had gotten it fixed pretty inexpensively by a random place in Downtown Crossing. A few months ago it split again in the same place. I brought it to Anthony and got it back in just a few days. So far I am satisfied with the work that he did on it. The only other place I checked pricing was at Shreve, Crump and Low and the repair price quoted there was 2 ½ times more expensive. I should say that this ring is of much more sentimental than monetary value, so for me it was a matter of spending enough to fix it well but not so much that I couldn’t justify it. In some cases, I can see where people may want to trust a known institution (at least until more people review this place).
Otherwise, I’d recommend taking your repairs here. His website says nothing about doing repairs, but I followed the advice of the other reviewers here and the Talk topic. His pricing is reasonable and he’s a very nice guy.
If I haven’t updated this review, I’m still happy with the work that he did.
