«I absolutely love learning from Bil! I’ve watched my playing vastly improve as a result of his training.»
Whether your desire is for purely personal enjoyment and enrichment or to be able to more effectively play in a performance context, I would be honored to work with you. Beginner, intermediate and advanced level lessons are available on a weekly or bi-weekly basis for keyboard, guitar, and electric bass for middle and high schoolers and adults. I specialize in breaking down the fundamentals of music theory using music you already know.
I’m also available as a pianist for all occasions. Whether a religious service, Christmas party, or ambient jazz venue, I’ve got you covered. Available to studio work, too.
«Bil is an amazing keyboard player. His range goes from lilting to jazzy, from soothing to funky… a high level of artistic creativity!»
And if you need some arranging for orchestral instruments, choir, rock or jazz band, I can help you, too.
History
Established in 1978.
I’ve been teaching music lessons for more the 35 years. I started with piano and then added guitar and bass, as well as general theory. My students have varied greatly not only in level, but in age and ethnicity. I’ve taught school teachers, pastors, dancers, software professionals, medical workers, music producers, lawyers, chefs, truck mechanics, retirees, etc. as well as students in middle school, high school, college, and grad school.
I’ve been playing piano professionally since college. I’ve been a church musician most of my life, have played in several bands and enjoy playing for all sorts of venues and gatherings.
