I’m noting that some of you thought the bread was a little oily. I thought it was a little like the BP oil spill. I also can’t figure out how a sparse mix of arugula, lemon vinaigrette, onion, and tzatziki actually constitutes a wrap. It just leaves you going ‘aaaaaand?’. It’s like getting a bacon and lettuce sandwich. It hurts your soul. And at $ 8, it hurts your wallet, too. Yeah, you can pay extra for chicken(«oh? you’ve located the missing ingredient! that will be an extra $ 1.50), but then they only throw in a couple scraps of bird. I did come here a second time to try it with the chicken, in hopes that it would compensate for the blaring inadequacies of A4(I usually try a place twice before issuing a coveted 1-star review, you know, on principle). And I did eat that whole sandwich, but that was only because I was afraid that everyone would judge me if they realized I’d ordered mom’s leftover chicken shavings after they fell off the boat into the Louisiana wetlands. The line here is always shorter than the lines for the other food trucks — there’s a reason for that!

I don’t know how they stay in business with the outrageous prices. You can get anything they serve, but better(taste & portion), from a variety of nearby eateries for half the price and not half to stand around in the rain or blazing sun.

Went to the A4 truck out of hunger and impatience as all other food trucks were full around 2 an many had sold out of the items they are best known for — this place looked like the solution to having to wait. Ordered the classic. A good choice on taste and the quantity was satisfying without over stuffing. I’d suggest it as a comparable option to other choices usually at Sowa.

So maybe I ordered the wrong thing — a gyro. It definitely sounded like a good idea. But man, was I disappointed and totally having food envy over what my friends got at the other food trucks at SoWa. It just was kind of blah. The meat was kind of boring, and there were a ton of veggies and not really much yogurt sauce /what they call tzatziki — which by the way is why I ordered the gyro to begin with. It was kind of expensive considering it was a food truck, and the fact that I wished I had gone to another should say enough. Oh well.

I first heard Area Four’s food truck was going to be offering flatbread, and I assumed we’d be getting a mobile take on the brick and mortar’s signature pizzas. I’m glad I was completely wrong, since the folded piadina are an interesting and welcome addition to the food truck world in Dewey Square. The flatbreads appear to be thin like a crêpe, but have more heft than expected. Hot from the griddle, chewy and lightly salty, the piadini complements the variety of fillings A4 is offering. I’ve liked every selection I’ve tried, but my favorite piadina is the gyro with chicken — fresh herbed white and dark meat, arugula, lemony yogurt sauce, and slivers of green olives wrapped neatly for a portable meal. The A4 truck is also doing breakfast with fresh pastries from the mother ship, Barrington coffee, and what can only be described as a gourmet Egg McMuffin. Housemade English muffin, fluffy local eggs with sharp cheddar, and A4’s own breakfast sausage patty — your desk breakfast should always been this good. Many will comment on the price(currently at $ 7 with sausage), but for my occasional calorie splurge, I don’t mind the cost. Fresh, tasty food, efficient service, and a commitment to local/seasonal ingredients guarantee I’ll be eating at the A4 Truck frequently.

Went to SOWA this weekend and was stoked to try one of the few food trucks i had not yet been to — A4. I’m seeing a lot of complaining for the relative few reviews about size relative to price of meal, but I got the mushroom and fontina and arugula pressed flatbread wrap. I think it was $ 7.50, and I thought the thing was delicious. Filling, fresh, more unique than your average wrap but not too crazy either. The texture of the wrap was great, the greens inside were fresh, the mushrooms sauteed well, and the fontina melted just right. No complaints, I thought it was great and a fair price — I would definitely get this again!

Now I know why the line was so short. Was hoping for a gyro, what I got was an $ 8.50 salad wrap(literally just arugula and onions, I paid an extra $ 2 for asparagus which was there… but wasn’t seasoned in any way). There were maybe 5 drops of yogurt at the bottom, it wasn’t tzaziki I assure you. No sign of the mushrooms or olives that were supposed to be part of the gyro either. Hubby got the same with chicken and had same reaction. Maybe because its a tourist-y time downtown they felt they could get away with lowest common denominator food, no excuse for an $ 8.50 salad wrap IMHO.

Very solid, and nicely displayed. The flatbread was terrific and the Muffeleta was a nice choice on a hot summer day. I also tried their hot dog, which was beefy but could have used a better toasted bun. A nice truck, with some good food.

Tried it once — fresh and tasted great. But for the $ 8.50 I paid, the portion wasn’t remotely comparable to nearby options and I don’t think I’ll be going back.

SOOOO good! I had the asparagus wrap! Such a great treat for a warm sunny day touring the city! Lemon vinaigrette, and goat cheese. mmmm I didn’t try anything else, it was $ 8 for only the wrap which seems a bit pricey. My Mom loved hers also! I like that they take your name too.

Eating their mushroom flatbread sandwich right now and it’s SO good! Been wanting to try their food truck for a while but it’s only at Dewey Square on Mondays. Really glad I gave it a shot, the bread itself is tasty and the ingredients are super fresh. Will be alternating between this and Bön Me when I have a food truck craving!

I just had an awesome breakfast sandwich. It was not a cheap sandwich by any means. $ 6.00 for a sausage, egg and cheese. But, it was not your usual breakfast sandwich either. The cheese was a sharp cheddar. The Egg was fluffy and light, the English muffin was outstanding. While I wasn’t a huge fan of the sausage, it was definitely not your average lousy sausage. I would opt for the non-sausage sandwich next time. It was just awesome. Better than any restaurant in the financial district. This truck doesn’t appear to be an inexpensive way to eat, but it sure is good!

If you can’t get a cup of coffee and a breakfast sandwich for under $ 5…there is a problem. I’m not discounting the quality of thier food, but lets be serious here. We’re talking 1 egg, 1 slice of cheddar, and sausage on a english muffin for $ 6. Last week I paid $ 5 for the same sandwich. Next week? Maybe they’ll add coffee and call it an even $ 10.

As far as food trucks go this place is top notch. Trust me everything here is good. The pastries are out of this world. Particularly their danishes but you really can’t go wrong with any of them. Their breakfast sandwich tastes home made because it is, even the english muffin and sausage, and the cheese they use, forget about it! In the afternoon they are also serving an Italian style flatbread sandwich. Basically the Classic consisted of a unique style of wrap/flatbread filled with prosciutto, arugula, and some type of aioli. Exceeded my expectations, it was really good but there was too much aioli at some parts. Good thing it was delicious. The only thing the food truck is missing is the fantastic coffee bar located at their brick and mortar location in Cambridge
