It was the weekend so I was wearing jeans, a t shirt and a hoodie, shopping for stuff for work. Doesn’t mean no one should ask if I need help in the store (or one employee kind of run away from me).
Much more expensive than other shops I went to looking at the same sorts of clothes. I don’t like the fabric too much either.

Dropped in here to check out a sale last week. I left with 4 skirts, 2 belts and a shirt. I wouldn’t shop here regularly, but their sale prices are really reasonable. Plus that have some really classic, feminine pieces that are essential to any woman’s wardrobe.

I have never had an issue with their clothing, for the most part, but their staff is whole other problem. I am surprised to say seem to have a real attitude when they have a sale. When I asked if they had my size in a particular show in the back, the woman working with me, huffed as she walked away to check. She came back empty handed, which I understood as the shoe was on sale. When I asked if she could look up and tell me if they had my size at another store before I trekked all the way to said store, she told me they had no way of doing this (except I know they do, as it has been done for me before). I asked if she could just do the online order for me in store as I wanted to make sure I got the right shoes with the sale price. She told me a manager would need to help me, and that one was not available, so I was «out of luck.» Not exactly the customer service experience I was hoping to have.

Professional good-looking clothing, that fits, and is at a reasonable price when they have sales. Recommend subscribing to emails or friending them on facebook to get in on the deals.
Frustration: They seem to now have discontinued carrying XXS and 00 sizes in store, and the petite section always has less selection than the regular sizes. Basically that means I’m an online customer only now. Sad!

This is a mid-size Ann Taylor store with a reasonably good selection and a deceptively deep sales section. Ann Taylor has frequent sales, including their Friends and Family promotion, so I find myself stopping by this store every few weeks just in case I can snag an unexpected great deal. (As a side note, they e-mail out the Friends and Family coupon, typically for 30% off your entire purchase, but recently they extended the promotion to anyone who shared an e-mail address at checkout.)
I find the staff to be very helpful here, and willing to start a fitting room for you so that you don’t need to carry around your try-on pile.
Being only a mid-sized store, this Ann Taylor does seem to run out of sizes quickly (especially sizes 4 – 12) and does not have a full range of shoes for sale. I also find the jewelery selection disorganized and difficult to browse.
All in all, an A-OK retail experience, and you can’t beat the convenient location.

I love Ann Taylor and shop there frequently. I went in yesterday to return a top that I wasn’t happy with and I was appauled by their staff. The salesman that was helping me said I had the wrong reciept until I had to point out the merchandise on the reciept and then continued to question if the alarm went off when I walked in the store.
I was very unsatisfied and it left me on a sour note to return back to the Ann Taylor in the prudential.

I love Ann Taylor. I really dislike this particular location. It’s large in space but lacking in stock. I’ve never run into a helpful employee here. Don’t get me wrong… I am far from a needy shopper but I don’t think I’ve ever been greeted when walking into this store. For some reason, though, I keep coming back… Probably because it’s convenient. I much prefer the Newbury location (or any other for that matter).

All Ann Taylors, as a general rule of chain, should be created equal. This particular Ann Taylor stands out from the rest due to their helpful, but not too «in your face» staff. The salespeople will happily get a dressing room ready for you and bring you new sizes or colors or whatever you please, as often as you wish, without making you feel like you have just asked them to hop on an elliptical machine naked and start exercising fast.
Ann Taylor will put a larger dent in your wallet as compared to its Loft-y sister, but the clothes are a little more conservative and make for excellent work clothes. Even so, it’s not always fun to shop for those kinds of clothes. I think the salespeople at this one understand that, and help you make the best of it. And in return, you will get quality garments.
I’m already all about the Ann Taylor empire, but I’d definitely go out of my way to shop at this particular one.

This isn’t really a review of the specific store, more just a shout out for their clothing. I am a law student and trying to ease myself into the suit-wearing lifestyle and Ann Taylor is my favorite. I don’t know about all body types, but for me (short with booty), their petite suits are the only things that work. They have great sales, reliable sizing, and good quality. Great, dependable work clothing!

I found some totally amazing pants here, in a pinch for a work event. They are sexy and really stylish, not to mention super-elegant. This place isn’t really my style normally, but I was grateful for their petite section because I didn’t have time to get the pants hemmed!
