The Mane Design Salon started as a team of 3 hair care specialists in 1500 sqft space, and has grown into a team if 12 professionals and 3000 sqft ready to serve all your beauty needs!

Jamie McClung M.

Business Owner

Jamie graduated from beauty school in 2010, worked for 7 months in a beautiful local salon which ignited her desire to pursue salon ownership herself. She founded and opened The Mane Design Salon in the fall of 2011 with only 2 other haircare professionals in her team. Jamie’s dreams of a full service salon, offering every beauty service available, only continued to grow! While building her clientele base, managing the growth of her new salon and building her team she expanded and added services to fit the needs of each new client! Her dreams are bigger still in that her next goal is a local annual hair/​makeup/​fashion show open to the Shreveport-​Bossier public!

I’ve danced around from one stylist to another all my life. I’ve been satisfied at a few other places, but that’s just it — satisfied. I’ve never been blown away. I’m not style-​savvy at all. After a visit to the salon, I know that I’ll have a great cut for two days until I wash it and then it’s just BLAH. I went in to see Lindsey a few days ago. I had a couple pictures, and we worked from those into the incredible cut she gave me. I asked her a ton of questions about the products she used along the way and she was happy to answer them. She took her time. She was careful. And best of all, I absolutely LOVE my cut.
The salon is cute. It’s a lot larger inside than what I was expecting.
The other ladies working there were all very nice. Everyone seemed happy and casual and friendly and I loved the vibe. I usually hate salons because I’m so clueless when it comes to beauty stuff and I feel like I don’t belong there. I feel like everyone is wondering why I think I’m good enough for a salon that isn’t Super Cuts or something like that. I didn’t feel this way at all here.
If you’re looking for a new stylist, or even if you already have one but don’t feel blown away, you must go see Lindsey!

I went to the salon as a walk-​in last night, unknowingly very close to closing time. Crystal took great care of me. She didn’t rush at all and took the time to make sure I was completely satisfied with my hair. I have been without a stylist for a long time because my last one moved, but I have finally found a new one. She’ll have my business from now on!

Where to start!!! I adore this salon and all the girls that work there! I started going to Jamie before she opened the Mane Design and I followed her to her new salon! She has cut my hair, colored it, highlighted it, done a Keratin treatment. you name it, I trust her to do it! I brought my daughter in to donate 12 inches of hair and Jaime was not available, so we had Crystal do my daughters hair and she was absolutely wonderful! My daughter still talks about what a great experience it was. This salon is fun, easy going, and very professionally managed. Absolutely recommend you give them a call. Of course, I recommend Jamie, but I would trust any of her girls to do my hair!
