Complete dilated eye examinations on everyone beginning at 6 months of age, contact lens fittings and an Optical Boutique. Dr. Pastilong manages and co-manages Glaucoma, cataract surgery, macular degeneration, LASIK, hard to fit contact lenses including Keratoconus, post surgery irregular corneas and progressive or multifocal contact lenses. We have a childrens day every Thursday. Supplies bought from the office include the Science Based Health products: Ocular Protect, Macular Protect and HydroEyes and BOOST, the eye lash growth enhancement product with mascara.

Established in 1995.
Dr. Christine K. Pastilong upon graduation from Southern College of Optometry in 1995 began practicing optometry at the Steen-Hall Eye Institute, Shreveport. After almost 9 years in the multidiscipline practice, Dr. Pastilong bought the established optometry practice of Dr. Chet Gregory in 2004. He practiced close to 30 years in the Bossier City area. When Dr. Pastilong acquired the business, she continued at the Benton Road address until recently. Bossier Family Eye Care is now located at its present location on Doctors Drive.

Dr. Christine Pastilong, with the passion and love for optometry and her patients, has been practicing optometry since 1995. Before graduation from Southern College of Optometry her career began at an ophthalmology cataract center in her home state of West Virginia in 1988. After pursuing a degree in chemistry at West Virginia University in 1991, she attended optometry school in Memphis, TN. Dr. Pastilong practiced at the Steen-Hall Eye Institute in Shreveport, LA from 1995 to 2004. In 2004 she acquired an optometry practice in Bossier City, and has been in private practice since. Dr. Pastilong is associated with three schools of optometry. From these schools, she hosts students in their fourth year of school teaching them hands on clinical skills for running a business and practicing optometry. She is a member of the Optometry Association of Louisiana with president being the highest position held in the organization. She is married to Al Butler and has 4 daughters.
