The chicharones are what people are here for. They are very good burritos most of the time. The help behind the counter often are grouchy, and rude. They will purposely(it seems) make the burrito wrong. I have to watch very close as they make the burritos. Lots of gasping for air as they make your burrito as you correct them. As a paying customer I don’t need this. When the owner is present they don’t do this. That’s why the tip jar is empty.

Have ordered Chicharrones there for years, have gone down hill, more fat than meet today, they have red and green chile chicharrones, but they are soggy and squishy. They supposed to have meet on them and crunchy. I have been disappointed with them, as of late. They do have excellent tortillas that are made daily.

The food quality, commitment to local flavors and great prices are deserving of a 5 star review. Service, not so much. There are so many ways to make and appreciate chicharones, tamales, posole, chile, beans, etc., but SW Grill is very good at it in comparison to the styles of the local families. I can make it myself but when I pay someone else for it, it’s that good. The owners are hardworking and kind people that I don’t want to offend but I also hope it’s helpful to say that there have been a few different times in the last few months that I and others in line have been completely disrespected and barked at by late afternoon employees who clearly do not want to be there. If you want true NM food, very well done, and don’t mind the possibility of being treated like a dog while you order, this is a good choice.

Love this place. Right across the street from my grandparents and within a mile of the rest of my family. I live in Las Vegas, NV but come visit often, this place is amazing they sell their DELICIOUS tortillas by the dozen daily. The chicharonnes burrito with red chili is to die for.

They have the best chicharonnes ever! They are crispy and not soggy at all like some places. They offer the red and original versions. Red is dusted with red chile. I love having the chicaronnes breakfast burrito, but grab one seldom for obvious reasons. The burritos are huge and can easily feed 2 people. They also have pretty good beef jerky. the 2nd best I’ve tasted. They have all kinds of things I haven’t tried yet, including menudo, posole, and huevos rancheros. If you are in the Los Lunas area, check this place out!
