Wellspring Chiropractic and Acupuncture Center is a wellness based practice, integrating chiropractic and neuromuscular care, classical acupuncture, functional medicine and lifestyle education for a wide range of health conditions. We care for all ages, from cradle to grave for a broad range of conditions, with the ultimate goal of helping the patient back to health & balance and helping them stay that way.
Typical conditions treated include: allergies, asthma, bronchitis, colds & flu, gastritis, reflux, irritable bowel, diverticulitis, reproductive system problems such as infertility, dysmenorrhea, irregular periods, PCOS, endometriosis, heavy periods, morning sickness, miscarriage, back & neck pain of all kinds, joint pains & injuries, osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, neuropathy, autoimmune diseases, emotional and mental problems, ADD/ADHD and much more.
History
Established in 1990.
Wellspring was founded by Dr. Bonnie Walker on July 10, 1990 in Boone, NC, and has been in continuous service since then. We have been at our current location at 2348 Hwy 105, Suite #9, Boone, NC 28 607 since 2004. We look forward with great anticipation to the addition of Dr Bonnie’s daughter, Amanda Peters, DC, who will be joining the practice in September 2014!

Dr Bonnie L. Walker, DC, Dipl Ac (NCCAOM), L Ac has been a licensed chiropractic physician in the state of North Carolina since 1989, and has been in solo practice in Boone since 1990. She founded Wellspring Chiropractic and Acupuncture Center in Boone, NC in 1990, where she has been a primary care provider of chiropractic services, classical Chinese acupuncture, nutritional counseling, and wellness care for all ages. She has a special interest in chronic fatigue, immune system disorders, internal medicine, and women’s health.
Dr. Walker earned her D.C. (Doctor of Chiropractic) degree from National College of Chiropractic in Lombard, IL in 1989, She received her Diplomate certification in acupuncture (Dipl Ac) by examination by the National Commission for the Certification of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM) in 1999 and became a NC state licensed acuacupuncturist in 2005. She is an active member of the North Carolina State Chiropractic Association (NCCA).
