Advanced Realty Property Management

Advanced Realty Property Management is AWFUL. ASU students and their parents should avoid renting any property that this company manages. The Oak St property has been a construction site hazard for a year. Trash and construction debris is everywhere. I know of at least one student who stepped on a nail. The apartments are not worth the rent in my opinion. Trust me, you will regret having your student live there. They really deserve negative stars

AWFUL. After several days’ discussion, I agreed to extend my stay in Banner Elk by one day to accommodate a showing by this company at 9 am on a Thursday despite the fact that I was working and out-​of-​town. I sat at the house, and sat, and finally called, where the broker in charge said «Oh, she is out sick and she was going to call you.» … this is after a confirmation email the night before. Ready to pay a full year’s rent in advance, I am looking forward to finding the actual homeowner and letting them know they have picked, quite possibly, the most incompetent property management company they could.

My experience with this company has been quite unpleasant.
I was shown a bill for a cleaning company, but when I arrived at the apartment, it in no way fit my personal understanding of the word «clean.»
They also have a bill for cleaning carpets, but there are still stains in them, and for the longest time they had an odor not unlike wet dog.
When I moved in, the apartment was flea ridden. They did come and spray for fleas, but this took far longer than I expected it would. I don’t know how there could have been fleas in an apartment that was supposed to have been cleaned well, but your guess is as good as mine.
I also had trouble with a wasp nest outside that I had to call several times about.
My roommate and I have had calls ignored on more than one occasion.
Every time I have gone into the office, I did not feel that I was treated as well as a customer should be treated. There was even one occasion where I went in with my roommate, and we both came out feeling like we had been openly disrespected.
