Ok, I hate it when people write a review on a place that they didn’t dine at but I am really upset that I had a certificate and went to this address only to be told that this place was wicho tacos maybe 2 months ago. I just bought the certificate 3 weeks ago and they are still advertising under this address on . So be warned. It’s a small cafeteria style place, smelled of cleaning products and nobody was there at noon.

Holly fish testes… probably some of the best fish tacos I’ve ever had. I wonder if they just taste better because of the fact that they are only $ 1 each? Cheap eats is always a plus, but wow, these puppies were fresh, crispy and muy delcioso! My cuz got the Gobernadores(shrimp & Chile tacos) and he said it was pretty damn tasty. In addition, free chips, spicy pickled carrots, and all sorts of salsa. God bless Mexico, God Bless the fish taco and God Bless Mariscos!!!

pros… just went here today with the family, my mother-in-law’s birthday, she wanted some authentic mexican seafood. the place is under new management since the last time i was in. which means the fish tacos are now $.99 instead of $ 2.00 which is great cause that means back to eating 5 of them at a time, just kidding. which is a great deal, especially since they are still made when you order and not just sitting around. the place has had a major renovation, less dark and much more brightly lit. décor is much more simpler, with a giant swordfish hanging on the wall, with a giant black eyeball looking right at you as you sit. and they have remedied the spanish only menu, so tammy should be able to order stuff off the menu. food comes out slow, but fresh. i still had the fish tacos, my wife had the shrimp tacos, also very delicious, she says they’re better then the fish tacos, we’ll have to see about that. my brother-in-law sprung for the ceviched shrimp tostada, all delicious. seems like the cook is the same. so if you liked the food before, you will still like it. oh for those of you that love happy hour(5−7pm) they offer $ 3.00 beers! cons…service was slow but nice, even though we were the only ones eating in at the time. don’t expect your food to be coming out quickly, especially if it’s busy or if you had a large order like we did. made fresh, and we had only one cook during dinner time. oh they also don’t have or weren’t using the a/c. instead they opted for the giant, and loud fans to circulate the muggy hot air.

I stopped in as my favorite place, Fins, had closed. Apparently this place is under new management. I went in, asked for a menu, and was told that they only had one in Spanish, did I read Spanish? I asked the sweet thing behind the counter if they only wanted Spanish speaking customers, and she floundered for an answer. The owner then handed me an old greasy menu in English with half of it inked out in magic marker. I surveyed it, noting the seafood only theme. I’m super picky about seafood, and limit myself on my servings, due to mercury. Plus, previously frozen seafood is disgusting. I left without ordering. I won’t be back.

I was in the area looking for a quite place to sit, do some paperwork and perhaps have a bite or two of some decent mexican food. i didnt really get the quiet time i was looking for due to the dance school right next door but i did get tons more. i didnt realize it was a seafood spot until i looked at their menu. seafood galore. plenty of mariscos for a late afternoon of mexican style seafood, beer, loud laughter and of course a tv blasting the Chivas match. the menu was pretty minimal, which was great, big ups for simplicity. cocktails, sopas, tacos, combo plates, and some cheap ass oysters. i stuck with the fish and shrimp tacos. probably the best tacos ive had in a long time. foreals yo! soo good. i was pretty shocked. the breaded fish and shrimp was hella grubbin. it was topped with the littlest amount of pico, a slice of fresh avocado and a bottle of some mayo hot sauce. i didnt bother asking for lime or lemon, figuring they would have put it on the plate if they thought tacos would need it. theres little else you could actually do to those tacos to make them any more gorgrous. as i was standing at the bar holding my CC, the lady looks at me saying they have a minimum of $ 10 on CCs. the tab was about $ 5 and all i had in cash was $ 1. She said that I owed the house and to have a good day. i was pretty shocked that they didnt just go ahead and charge my card. anyways. the service was good, the place was clean, the menu had something for everyone, the tacos was super scrumptious and they werent stressed about me not paying. big uppin this spot foreals

I know the hubby has reviewed this joint, but gotta put my two cents in. I had lunch here for the first time today with friends. We started with the ½ order of fresh oysters, served with sliced limes and a hot spicy sauce on the side. The oysters were so fresh and sweet and I could taste the salt of the sea, beautiful. We also got the guacamole, made fresh to order, it was delicious, just right! For the entrée, we all got the special, 2 fish tacos(deep fried, although they also have grilled laplancha) with a side of rice and beans and a copy of the seafood broth. The fish tacos are served in corn torillas with cabbage, onions, pico, and a creamy sauce. They also give you a spicy, creamy salsa in bottles. The fish tacos are fresh and delicious, sorry Fins, you gotta go. They also give you baskets of chips and salsa. Happy hour is 4 – 7, beers and fish tacos on special. They have beer and wine and clamatos in cans. I’m coming back to try the shrimp cocktail, it looked so good. Service is friendly, we asked for chips to go(we didn’t finish our guacamole) and they fried them fresh for us, free of charge! The place is small, but they do have outdoor tables as well.
