History

Established in 1882.

Originally started as a small 4-​room cottage in 1882 by Thomas Gavin & Family. In 1898 was purchased by Charles & Susan (and 7 children). After the 2^nd addition in 1908 it became a beautiful 6000 sq ft «Tidewater Mansion». In 1976 the home was purchased by Nik Coles, an antiques entrepreneur, who filled the home with his collection. The home was left to Baldwin County Historic Development Commission in 2007. Guided Tours of the home are on Tuesdays & Fridays and it is the perfect place for a romantic Wedding & reception.
