History
Established in 1950.
The legendary Algonquin has been frequented by locals, celebrities and travelers alike, for decades. Featured on the Food Network and highlighted by Rachael Ray as her favorite Lake George restaurant, a steady following finds their favorites here. Originally, a hotel sat on the property, established in 1847. In the 1950’s, the property was turned into a lake front restaurant, specializing in comfort foods and cold beer. In 1979, a second floor dining room was added. Today, current owners Keith Scott and Brad Irvine take pride in offering the best in foods, service and atmosphere, continually making improvements to this Lake George tradition.
