History

Established in 2012.

The Canal Tavern of Zoar, formerly known as the Inn on the River, was purchased in 2011 and restored during the first eight months of 2012. It reopened in August as the Canal Tavern of Zoar — returning to its original name. Our goal is to offer high quality food and drink and outstanding customer service in an atmosphere of casual elegance and friendliness that connects with Zoar’s history. Consistently excellent food, consistently great service, the overall environment and distinctive special events combine to make visiting the Canal Tavern of Zoar a truly memorable experience for our customers.
