History

Established in 2013.

THE STUDIO: Three Dog Studio is located in Boise, Idaho, in a residential area, under the shade of a beautiful Oak tree. Named after our three dogs, Maggie, Gus and Stella, who give us much joy and inspiration and are our best friends. Three Dog Studio was created to bring friends together for a day of fun and discovery, revealing artistic talents never thought possible. Three Dog Studio Artists will provide simple instruction and will guide you with easy, step by step, non-​judgmental methods.

Meet the Business Owner

Gloria O.

Business Owner

Gloria Olguin was born and raised in San Pedro, California and now resides in Boise, Idaho with her husband George. Gloria and her younger sister, Esther grew up surrounded by a large Mexican-​American family of aunts, uncles, and plenty of cousins. The close-​knit bond of «family» and her Mexican-​American heritage helped to create Gloria’s creative vision and ideas.

Gloria became interested in art late in life. Inspired by her aunt, renowned artist, Muriel Olguin, Gloria started painting in 2008 at age 59. This mother of two and grandmother of three took a few oil painting classes at the local community college and was instantly hooked. Dabbling in oils, acrylics, watercolors, and altered art, she wanted to try them all.

Most recently, she has experimented with the techniques of splatter painting that made her aunt Muriel famous. In June 2012, Gloria held a one women art show at «The Loft Studio» in her home town of San Pedro, CA., bringing great reviews.
