OK the food was good. They have really great toast here also. The service was terrible. I think we had the absent-minded waiter. Every time he went to do something for us he forgot and it took several minutes to ever get his attention again. There was no sense of teamwork in this café today. Our coffee would run out our water never showed up and nobody else seem to notice including our waiter. Most places everybody has everybody else’s back and somebody is walking around refilling drinks. That never happened here today. That’s too bad because we really like this place. We hope we had the anomaly waiter today. But the sense of teamwork or lack of it is troubling as there’s nobody else that bothers to give service for any other table.

I went in there with some black friends. They found the black face caricatures and pickaninnys on the walls very offensive, and spoke to the manager. I went back 3 weeks later and nothing had changed. The only assumption is that this company endorses and supports racial prejudice. There is no way I can support a company that supports such archaic practices.

Used to be one of my favorite places to go, but that has changed after my most recent visit. Food is still good, but the service was horrible. Looks like they brought in all new staff that have no business being in the service industry.

Great service. But, when I went there I had an omelet. I can’t remember what one. But went to the doctor the next day throwing up every 10 minutes and to weak to stand for more than 5 minutes. Got food poisoning. Will never ever go back.

One of my favorite breakfast places! Delicious God, quality ingredients, friendly staff and bustling environment. I almost always see someone I know there. Highly recommend!

Yes, it is a small diner with a huge heart. They treat you like family and feed you like grandma’s house. The hash browns are cooked to perfection every time, the eggs are as fluffy as clouds, and the cinnamon rolls deposit you in heaven. One meal easily serves two adults and the staff has no problem splitting it between two plates for you. The hostess has the mostest and she keeps the flow running smoothly, the wait is rarely more than 15 minutes. And well worth it every time.

I am from South Carolina and this place is a nice reminder of home with the rooster décor, hearty comfort food, and hospitality. Large menu(still have lots to try) that never fails to fill me up and fulfill my breakfast craving. Watch out for prime breakfast hours as they can get really busy and service lacks at those times. Been here over 10 times and I keep coming back so its worth it :)

I like the Egg Factory. When I want breakfast fast, affordable, good I end up coming here. They are consistent and friendly. I don’t expect gourmet or fancy but they are a solid breakfast. I highly recommend you stay away from the avocado. Just not right, and again not meant to be fancy. The Red Rooster crepes are really delicious and a must try! The corned beef hash is also really good and the pork chop has a very light batter that is nothing like shake n bake at all so I have no idea what the previous reviews were talking about.

Been here a couple of times after Church. Food is OK, but I would not come here unless in the neighborhood. But I have to admit on weekends they really pack them in. The place is pretty bare bones inside, booths and tables. Not too sardine like. The service is good and quick. Their coffee isn’t Illy, but passable. But their bacon is thin style and not my preference. Parking is somewhat limited at times and part of it is in gravel. Prices are not expensive. In summary, good but not great.

Always excellent, Always consistent! Their menu items are unique and the prices are great. It is always a good sign when there is a line outside to get in. A trip to the Egg Factory is always a must when we go to Boise.

I come here after work with the girls mostly. Today we did the chef special steak & egg for $ 5.99 it comes with potatoes, and a bread. For the bread you can get pancakes, toast, cinnamon rolls, and biscuits gravy. I’ve always had great service and always full. I usually get the lemon pancakes with lemon syrup(usually melts in my mouth) sometimes i will get the egg and steak omelette. Food is good and portions are huge.

Factory potatoes are dry. Chicken fried steak is more like shake n bake than a chicken fried steak.

It’s called the«Egg Factory» because it does good breakfast… NOT because it does good lunch! Coffee is usually pretty bad, hashbrowns/fruit/toast are the usual blah of every other mediocre diner… but some of the egg scrambles and omelettes really are great. I still haven’t been disappointed with an omelette and the Farmer Joe’s Special is my favorite. It’s good enough. Not great. Keep your expectations low. This ain’t The Ritz.

I have high expectations for restaurants close to my house. If it isn’t better than what I could make at home, I might as well cook in my own kitchen. Sure I will have to clean up myself, but at least I won’t feel like I have wasted my time and money on something unsatisfying. I’ve eaten at both locations of this two link«chain» and they are about the same. I think this location is a tad bigger so it’s a little more of a madhouse. Be careful where you sit, though. We have been tucked back in the corner and forgotten about. The breakfasts are better than the lunch items. The sugary breakfast treats are rich and decadent. You might want to share that cinnamon roll with your extended family. You would think with a name like«Egg…» the fried chicken embryos would be out of this world, but they taste like they come out of a «…Factory». Nothing remarkable. Now that’s what I call a brand promise. So I’d recommend skipping the conveyor belt cuisine and opt for some home cookin’.

Egg Factory offers a decent breakfast. The prices are decent and the fact that they offer a 2 or 4 egg omelet is a very nice feature. I got the Bacado omelet(which was a little dry and more bacon than avocado) along with their special potatoes(which seemed made from frozen and sprinkled with Hidden Valley Ranch dry mix) and finally a biscuit with gravy. The biscuit was decent as was the gravy, but there was very little meat in the gravy. I probably wouldn’t choose to eat breakfast here again as there are better places in town for breakfast, but if friends wanted to eat here, I wouldn’t have a problem joining them.
