Specialties
At The Cipra Method, we believe the body was naturally designed for movement and exercise. As a result, most of our exercises utilize body weight for resistance. Long, lean and flexible bodies are the result. Benefits also include less soreness after exercising, feeling better enjoying daily activities, and increased athletic performance.
We offer barre, cardio school (also known as bounce or rebounder) and personal training. Our studio was created specifically for these activities:
— Hardwood flooring was engineered to be comfortable for dancing, barre, or mat exercises.
— Specifically created lighting environments to accommodate each class environment.
— Ballet bars designed by Kat and Peter to allow for several exercises.
— Elastic sprung trampolines for a smooth, quiet
— Elongated mirrors line the wall to help concentration during class.
History
Established in 2014.
Kat and Peter Cipra were not achieving fitness results. They tried everything from triathlons to popular mail-order DVDs. It was then that Kat discovered a method of exercise called barre. Barre is a great workout that utilizes body weight for resistance. There is also an emphasis on balance and posture that is not present in other exercise methods. At that point, she and her husband Peter began pouring themselves into a deeper understanding of anatomy, physiology and exercise. Soon Kat, a fitness instructor since she was in her teens, was overwhelmed with opportunities to share her fitness creation with others at several fitness studios in Boise. Not being able to control the environment that she shared her exercises in was difficult and soon became too much. That is when The Cipra Method was developed and given a proper home. In our studio, every element is controlled to ensure clients enjoy their workouts while reaching their full potential.

I believe exercising should be hard AND fun. This belief has guided my career of helping others improve their fitness and our workout routines at The Cipra Method compliment that mindset. Barre, cardio school and private training all help people reach their own individual thresholds. We are all just a group of people trying hard and doing our best with smiles on our faces. Fitness is my passion and I have been teaching it since my youth, including studying barre methods reaching back to its inception, but i also stay on top of current trends, which allows me to create a method that can’t be found anywhere else. I am a NASM Certified Personal Trainer and have a tremendous knowledge of physiology, and I happily share tidbits of it during class.
