On June 17, 2015 I had a house fire. I pulled up 1 street away with no clue about what exactly was going on other than the fact that my 2 cats were still in my home while a fire raged around them. The first person to greet me as I got out of my car? A ServPro employee, wanting to shake my hand, introducing himself and handing me his damn business card! My God talk about ambulance chasers, there were 3 ServPro cars parked near the property! I was followed to my home, followed when I went to talk to the fire department, followed when I went to talk to my neighbors. Over the next 4 hours their employees would not leave me alone despite my repeated requests to do so. They then proceeded to walk through my home before I was even allowed in there to get my cats out and to the vet(without my permission mind you!) Then offered to board up the garage and inside the house for me at no cost to me if my insurance company didn’t pay(got a bill this week sent to me); I signed paperwork stating that I would not be charged directly and since I was in shock at the time I didn’t realize what they were doing. While securing the front door they did fine; but they actually screwed into the side door(8 screws total) making it so that a perfectly fine door now has to be replaced. The company really needs to look at it’s practices and talk to it’s employees, they are disgusting. They talked my neighbor(who lost most everything) into signing a contract on the spot; he now is in a panic about not having a clue what exactly he signed. Preying on the elderly is the worst thing they could do.

I had a pipe bust in my crawl space last winter. I could hear water running but didn’t know where it was coming from. I checked the crawl and saw the water gushing to the ground. I immediately shut the main valve off(which happened to be what actually busted.) I wasn’t sure if i was going to need their services but I called them anyway and they had a crew out with in 30 minutes. The crew went into the crawl and checked the building materials for water damage. Fortunately for me the water sprayed straight down to the ground and didn’t get the structure wet. Some of the insulation got a little bit of water from the splashing, they recommended I take it out and replace it with new insulation. It was something I could do myself. The crew was great and honest. I was not charged because there was no work to be done. I HIGHLY recommend Servpro of Boise.
