History

Established in 1996.

I started PC RESCUE in 1996 when I found it necessary to make a career change. I had been working with computers since 1980, when I took programming courses in college. I found programming to be fascinating — but very dull and dusty — I found I loved solving software and hardware problems within computers much more — thus PC RESCUE was born. I have taken courses and have learned a LOT from other expert techs, but for the most part I am self-taught. I find it infinitely more effective and lasting to research and solve issues on my own — the solutions are not as easily forgotten as sitting in a classroom. Solving problems real-time day in and day out for seventeen years has been the greatest education one can hope for.

Meet the Business Owner

Matthew S.

Business Owner

A native Idahoan, I have attended the U of I and BSU and am a veteran of the US Navy. I have had a love of computers since the early eighties when the first Nintendo machines, the Sinclairs and the first IBM PCs were coming into the world. Back then you were ahead if you could write your own basic programs, and I was good at it. Today machines are doing what I always wanted them to do — streaming videos, realistic immersive games, world-wide instant communications. I have been fortunate to be alive in this time, and realize we have just seen the beginnings of computing so far. I love it when I hear computers are dead because we have migrated to smart phones and tablets. Go to any office in any city and look around — computers and laptops everywhere!
