As a former family law judge for the Ada County, Idaho Fourth District Court, family law mediator, and private practitioner, Cathy Naugle offers over twenty-five years of successful representation in the area of family law. Her unique combination of professional experience allows her to analyze and present her client’s positions – whether in settlement negotiations or at trial – in a manner designed to obtain the most positive results.

Ms. Naugle received her Juris Doctorate from the University of Idaho School of Law in 1981. She spent the first several years of her legal career as a general practitioner in small firms. She then accepted a position as a referee for the Idaho Industrial Commission from 1986 through 1988, deciding unemployment and worker’s compensation claims.
In 1988, after passing a successfully passing a survey of her fellow Ada County attorneys, she was selected as an Ada County, Idaho magistrate judge by a commission of community leaders and lay persons. During her judicial tenure she presided over hundreds of family court cases for the Fourth Judicial District Court of Ada County, Idaho.
In 1994 Ms. Naugle returned to private practice, focusing primarily on family law as a litigator and a court-approved mediator. She has practiced exclusively in the field of family law since 1997.
