I have not tried any of the other Mongolian BBQ places in Boise, so I cannot compare this particular restaurant to the others; however, I was very satisfied with my experience. I really enjoyed the ability to craft my own stir fry meal, and the ingredients available to choose from were varied and delicious. I will definitely be coming back during my next visit to Boise.

Mongolia in Boise! Very, very nummy! You choose your ingredients at the«bar» — Veggies were really fresh, 3 meat choices– beef, chicken, pork. Price was very good $ 6.99 small/$ 7.99 large. Included a bowl of rice. Made in front of you while you wait(which was quick!). Clean — but seating can be a bit tight at lunch.

Great place to go for a quick flavorful lunch downtown. It’s inexpensive, clean and fast!

It’s not the best, but it’s the best Boise has to offer. Dinner is preferred as during lunch they don’t have crab or shrimp, which IMO is a staple in mongolian BBQ. Lunch is a mess if you go early. Obnoxious kids ordering one bowl and sharing it among 10 of them. Why even allow them? Anyhow, back to the review… It’s alright. Their noodles aren’t the true egg noodles most mongolian in the US have, it’s more of a rice texture, which isn’t my favorite. However their spices(which is the important part) are perfect, and their ingredient quality is superb. The price is very reasonable, and they offer sizes, which is nice to be able to adjust based on hunger at the time. Another unique feature of this place is they bring you fried rice included on request. It’s not earth-shatteringly good, but for the price it’s pretty decent and I’ll happily return again soon.

Most of the time people dont understand how to make it well. If you want fried rice instead of white rice, tell the front desk person before you get your meal. It is self serve. I love the concoction that I make. I fill my first pan up with only food, and then have an entire pan FILLED with only sauces, that way they will pour lots of sauce on it and keep it’s flavor during the stir.

Regular lunch venue for the High School crowd which says a thing or two about this staple of downtown Boise: it’s cheap and filling. If you arrive early enough to avoid the zitty crowd, you’ll enjoy passable service from the staff(«you sit there!») before self-loading up on the fare – slightly fatty meats(chicken, pork, and beef), a sensible selection of vegetables, and self-mixed sauces which is then cooked for you by two guys playing«ring around the rosie» with tongs on a massive and very hot cooking surface. The food is not haute cuisine, but for a quick, senseless lunch, it’ll do. Unlike what it may be like in Mongolia itself, there’s nothing to see with the rather drab décor so bring a good book or friend.

Sorry to inconvenience your establishment. Thank goodness the guy running the grill had better manners than our waitress. The place is pretty dirty, which is the first thing I notice when I walk into a restaurant. Second, is smell. Smelled alright. Third is service, and theirs sort of sucks. The waitress tried to stack our bill. I know what you are thinking, that she probably just made an error, but all she serves up are drinks and bowls of rice that come with your meal, so there isn’t a whole lot to keep track of. It was very hard to get our silverware as well. We asked several times for something to eat with as well as rice. We just grabbed extra bowls ourselves. Cheap, yeah. So it doesn’t totally blow, but there are definitely better Mongolian grills out there.

As far as Mongolian is concerned, this place is alright — definitely not the best I’ve had… You got three choices of sizes — small, medium or large(all you can eat for the large size) and your usual vegetables, meats(pork, beer, or chicken — NOLAMB =/), noodles, and sauces — then a quick round on the grill and you’ve got your own Mongolian bowl of eats. I’ve been to places where the Mongolian meat/vege bar is better laid out and they also have additional buffet items… The waitress does come by to offer steamed rice, fried rice, and/or sodas, but I guess I just wasn’t totally impressed with their overall atmosphere. Plus I think it’s owned by Vietnamese folks… haha. Wonder if there’s a decent phở place around here… Anyways, I’d come back if I wanted a quick bite — I’d probably go for a small bowl next time — a big bowl comes out to $ 7.95 — I tipped the«chef» and the waitress so my total came to $ 10 for an okay lunch.

Ugh… if you’ve ever been to a good mongolian BBQ like the small chain in Michigan then you know what good mongolian BBQ can be. Unfortunately this place doesn’t even come close. Here are the things I have to complain about: — veggies aren’t chopped very well… giant chunks of peppers and onions. — meat department is heavily lacking… three choices? and the quality isn’t even that good… shredded meats? blech. — the way they cook it! oh for peet’s sake. they drag your meal around the grill… dragging it through other peoples juices and meats and seasoning… heaven forbid a vegetarian come try to eat here. you’re veggie stir fry would get dragged around in beef juice. or food allergies. I can’t even imagine. — there is absolutely nothing inviting about the space. I think no mongo BBQ is better than a bad attempt. Which is what this place is.
