All of our professional, trained inspectors are re-​certified annually through the National Institute of Building Inspectors, an accredited school that provides continuing education throughout the year.

Our inspection reports are completed on-​site, providing you with the information you need in real-​time and keeping your transaction on schedule. Reports are accessible on our website within seconds of the inspector completing the report, perfect for those clients who are unable to attend the inspection.

All of our standard inspections include one FREE re-​inspect to the property to verify any repairs were completed in a workman-​like manner.

We inspect single family residential, multi-​family residential, and light commercial properties.

We are licensed with the State of Idaho to perform Wood Destroying Insect inspections, looking for termites, powder post beetles, carpenter ants, etc. Certifications are completed on the FHA/​VA form.

We also do environmental testing, including radon, mold, air quality and lead paint testing.

Kathryn P.

Business Owner

Kathryn is one of our owners and our office manager. She and her husband, Steve, started the business together in 1984. They both worked multiple jobs while establishing the business in a climate of 18% interest rates on home loans while presenting a brand new concept to the industry — home inspections. With the support and education of the HouseMaster family, Kathryn and Steve were able to establish trust in the industry and a solid reputation for excellent service and set the standard for home inspectors in the Treasure Valley.
