Great hotel, comfortable and friendly. Awesome free hot breakfast! Great location just off the greenbelt and minutes from the University.

Awesome place. Good breakfast. Awesome rooms. Fast internet. Very close to downtown. Staff is very friendly and helpful.

super clean nice hotel. Employees were friendly. Room was spotless. We would definitely stay again. If I had one criticism it would be they should be trash can liners in the wastebaskets in the room. I had a cup of tea and had to drop the wet bag into the can. Ick! Nice area.

The hotel is decent. But worst service. The people here don’t know what is courtesy means. When I check in the guy didn’t even have eye contact at all. And he looks not happy he needs to work. No thank you no enjoy your stay. I am staying for 2 days and booked for a shuttle to airport. The same guy put it for the next day instead the day after tomorrowI. Isn’t it so retarded.
At 6:30 am they call my room and with no good morning or nothing they say «hey do you still need a shuttle this morning?!» After I said I am not checking out till tomorrow. The person said oh someone write it wrong. No apologize or anything.
This is the worst service ever. I don’t know how you screen your application to work here.
I would never come back and stay in this hotel again.

This was a decent business hotel. The good: clean rooms, pleasant people. The bad: running toilet all night, bees at pool
and lousy coffee.

My second Holiday Inn Express experience this summer, first in Reno and now in Boise. And I must say, this last stay was short, but very nice.
When I say short, it was less than 12 hours. Checked into my room at 11 pm, was out the door for the airport shuttle at 7:30 am. When in Boise during the summer, it’s all about enjoying the great outdoors.
I always dread late-​night check ins — you never know if anyone will be at the front desk or if there’s even a room waiting for you. This experience was fine! They got me my room quickly without any problems.
Room itself was on the 5^th floor, with a king bed. It was clean and well appointed with a flat screen TV and a/​c pumping. Exhausted, I washed my face and went straight to sleep.
Probably the best thing about staying at a Holiday Inn Express? Continental breakfast! Cinnamon rolls, bagels, yogurt, juice, DIY pancakes as well as eggs and biscuits. No complaints at all. They even have a little box to take your cinnamon roll to-​go.
At $ 179 per night, this was on the high end of my budget, but one of the few options available last weekend during a busy Boise week. Wish I had time to enjoy the outdoor pool or room amenities vs. a quick in and out visit.

Wow! Worst customer service experience I’ve ever witnessed. It started when the customer service rep. first laid eyes on our family of six coming in the doors. Let’s just say this is not a family friendly hotel. All I requested was two rooms on the same floor. Hoping our young family wouldn’t be separated. Not only was I met with resistance but given an passive aggressive attitude. Understandably they couldn’t accommodate.
The rooms on separated floors they gave us smelled so bad of smoke I feared our new born baby would be affected. I called and was told by a nice employee that they’d make the change. After returning from dinner the unnamed nasty employee argued with me to say the rooms don’t smell and that they would not move us into a different room.
The name of this person will go unnamed but I plan to send a similar email to Holiday Inn corporate.
I’ve interviewed, hired and trained hundreds of employees so I’m someone who can speak on the quality of employees. The reality is a company is only as good as their weakest employee. And this employee showed me how weak Holiday Inn Express Downtown Boise ID really is.
Pull it together Holiday Inn!

The next morning my family walked through the busy lobby and heard the same employee repeating to her co-​workers in a sarcastic belittling manner how terrible I was the night before. It was again shocking behavior for an employee to be talking this way about customers right in front of several of them. Karma that I happened to be walking by at the time. I looked at her while she shared what she thought was an epic saga and said «Yes, that’s great make a mockery of your customers». I’m not sure this is the best way to run a hospitality business.

I would give the rooms a 3 stars, but I am rating 4 because of the great customer service.
We had issues with the room that we were given upon check in. Many rooms had a/​c units that did not work properly, and windows that were not properly sealed (condensation between the window panes).
Although the rooms need some maintenance, I can not say enough about the staff’s willingness to make us happy.

This place is great! I got a slamming deal on Priceline for $ 59/​night. It has a very modern feel & the front desk staff was super friendly. We booked a weekend with my brother & they put our rooms RIGHT next to each other! (Thank You!) The rooms are very clean & spacey. They have a nice mid-​size pool and a huge pool deck to lay out. The front desk lady even let us go swimming at 2am which was awesome! :) Another plus was that they have bike rentals! It cost $ 5 & you are right on the greenbelt for a great bike ride!
Now, where it lost two stars…
Minus 1 star for windows not opening.
Minus 1 star for having the ONLY mirror in the room in the bathroom. So one can not do makeup/​get ready while the other person is showering. I hate that.
We will stay here again. Great proximity to BSU football games!

Stayed here for a weeklong training and was impressed with the friendliness and service of the employees. They offer good free breakfast options, and the coffee is decent as well. The wireless internet connection is the only thing that I think could be improved.
They also have bike rentals, which is awesome considering the hotel’s proximity to Boise’s greenbelt.

The hotel itself is very nice with a typical breakfast spread but the hotel in the wifi is awful. It disconnects frequently, while they offer wired connections there is no Ethernet port in the room! Since I travel for business I will not be staying here again.

Pros — Good location, fairly new facility
Cons — not enough parking (fewer parking spaces than rooms), wireless Internet is HORRIBLE and no Ethernet access in rooms, room keys as often as not do not work,
I have to stay here frequently due to a contract with my place of employment and initially this was a good place to stay but over the past several months the issues have become more problematic. Initially their internet was slow but you could watch Netflix with occasional hiccups, then it got to where you couldn’t watch Netflix or even open a web page in a reasonable time and now, you can’t even download email (which is why this is being typed on my iPhone).
In addition, parking is ALWAYS a problem and you frequently have no place to park, so you have to park in the strip mall next door.
Finally probably at least 50% of the time that I have stayed here, the room keys either don’t work at all and you have to lug all your stuff back to the front desk to have them reprogrammed, or they work the first one or two times then stop working when you come back in the middle of the night and you have to drag yourself back to the desk to get them reprogrammed.
If I had another option I would stay somewhere else for work related stays. If I was just coming to Boise to watch a BSU game it would be fine, especially considering the location close to the sports facilities.

This is one of the best hotels I’ve stayed at for the money. I got a cheap rate and they accepted my dog. The downstairs cafeteria area is really modern and cool.

Checked into Holiday Inn Express located at 475 West Park Center Boulevard Boise Idaho and wanted to let everyone know how friendly and professional these folks are here especially Dacen and Adriane… They made me feel welcome as well as made my check in a breeze… My room was exceptionally clean with outstanding mountain views… I would highly recommend this hotel to family and friends…

I Loved This Hotel! My Wife and I wanted to celebrate our One Year Anniversary and wanted to stay at a fancy hotel. We decided to pick this one and we are so glad we did. As soon as we pulled into the parking we knew we had made the right choice. The Outside of the Hotel looked huge and the grounds were well maintained. We were greeted with a wonderful smile by the front desk person and I was acknowledged as a IHG Gold Rewards Member. The Room was King Corner Suite which was perfect. It was clean and comfortable. The view of the city of Boise was Awesome.
Thank HIX Inn Express Boise Downtown for making our one anniversary special one we will never forget. You Guys are the Best.

Everything was great, even the bed. I’m picky and very opinionated. The remodel did this place good. The staff was very friendly and always with a smile.

Nice, clean, comfortable, and friendly. But I have to air the reason for only three stars… the room entry doors on our floor had to be slammed closed because I assume they aren’t hung correctly. Very loud. Ridiculous. I wouldn’t stay again unless I knew this was remedied.

First time staying at Holiday Inn Express Boise Downtown. Front desk was courteous. Room was spacious and clean. Parking is a little on the tighter side. Great location and close to local restaurants.
