Here at Do-​it-​Yourself Doggie Detailing we are fully equipt to help you with all of your dog grooming needs. Whether you are looking to bathe a dirty dog, trim some tailfeathers, or clip your pups coat; you can bet we have the right tools! If it your first time, no worries, our helpful staff is here to guide you and answer your questions.

Our professional groomer specializes in all sizes and breeds of dogs. We can give your dog a classic cut or personilize it’s style to fit your pooches personality and lifestyle.

History

Established in 1996.

In the mid nineties Ronnie was just a kid with some money and a business plan… to open the only dog wash in the treasure valley and a hundred more just like it! Though the other ninety-​nine dog washes are still to come we at DIYDD could’t be happier with our workplace. Ronnie engineered a premier place to wash, dry, and groom your pups! Since, he has hired a knowledgeable staff to assist customers as they learn to primp their pooches. In the mean time he came to stand among the best groomers in town. Many have grown to love him and his eccentric poodles. Two with dreadlocks, two with pom-​poms, and one with a beard to match his own! You may have seen them around town walking the library plaza or cruising the greenbelt on his bike with his custom dog trailing in tow.

Ronnie is a self-​taught groomer who opened Do-​it-​Yourself Doggie Detailing in 1996. He engineered and built many appliances in the shop to make grooming a faster process! He is extremely skilled and specializes in breeds of all sizes and breeds. He can give your pet a classic pattern or personalize a trim to fit your pet’s personality and lifestyle.

Had a wonderful experience here, after having a horrible experience at another self-​dog wash place in Boise. Prices are great, and the staff is so friendly. I would recommend it to all of my friends with dogs.

I brought my lab mix here to get a much needed bath. Unfortunately I also had to bring my very energetic 3 year old with me too. The staff was very polite they even helped me lift my not so light pup into the tub. They gave my son a stool to stand on and a child sized apron so he could help. My son was more interested in helping the staff with their chores than washing the dog. They were great showing my son around and answering his never ending stream of questions. This was all very helpful while I was tied up washing my dog. They have a great selection of shampoo and conditioners. I was asked more then once if I needed help or if I had any questions. We never ran out of hot water and I left with a very clean doggy.

Brought my two dogs today, and it was great. Susie was friendly and helpful, and they had everything I needed, even a ramp for my dog with a bum hip so he didn’t have to jump up into the tub! I got a discount for bringing my two dogs and will definitely be going back!

This is a great place to bathe or groom your dog yourself. The staff is always super friendly, and they provide everything needed to get your dog in tip top shape. It’s also a good value. Highly recommend!

This place is a great place to clean up your dog. They have great tubs, blow dryers and towels as well as a variety of grooming equipment. Brushes clippers etc. Also they will clip your dogs nails too. Be prepared to hold the dog tight though they don’t like this part. The guy is very good and patient but if the dog is jerking too much they will hurt them on accident sometimes. We go here every other week. Get your dog clean

The only reason we don’t give 5 stars is because the 3 times we’ve been there, we have never been helped by the same person. Which means we have paid a different price occasionally. So the price list is by the judgement of the employee. We paid for a «mini pet» twice and a «small pet» today. Pretty good deal either way with unlimited shampoo and conditioner, two towels to dry off what the blow dryer might not get (or in our case, what our pup won’t wait for us to get), and a wide variety of grooming equipment. We have only used the nail clipping option once and our little guy was pretty timid about it.
Overall, we enjoy the convenience of the location and prices and the staff has been friendly.

This place is amazing. I walked in and the owner immediately jumped up and knew I had come in for my dog to get washed. He pointed to the aprons and said grab one and bring my pup to the wash tub. He showed me the ins and outs of washing my dog and made sure I knew how to do everything.
My dog was super nervous when we walked in and by the time I was in the middle of washing him, he was relaxed. The conditioner I put on my dog really did make his coat super soft! I was worried because when his coat was wet, it felt like I had stripped all the natural oils off it.
When it came time to blow dry, the owner showed me out to do it and explained everything in detail. He really bent over backwards to make sure I had a great time with my dog. For my 50lbs dog, it only cost me $ 12. What a stellar price! I’ll definitely be back and I highly recommend them!

I was house sitting a temperamental older Pug, who was shedding badly, and well, was kinda stinky. I decided to take her over to Doggie Detailing.
I went in with the squirming dog under my arm, and the staff immediately helped me to a station. They helped me get started, and I put on an apron and put shampoo in my bottle. I wasn’t sure if they charged you by the bottle or what. They don’t. The owner, she kept telling me to get more shampoo. I thought the Pug was going to have a heart attack but after a while she calmed down, until it came time for the blow dry.
All in all, it was quick and painless. It is very clean, and to have the dog come out squeaky clean for only $ 11 dollars, I thought it was a bargain. I would definitely come back.
