Description

Specialties

The Players Club was created many years ago on the lower level of Fairfield Hall. Fitted with a soda fountain and a snack bar, it was a place where members of the cast could relax and enjoy themselves. Today it is the main ala carte dining area at Allenberry and features the Brubaker and Endrizzi Rooms. Each was named after a talented and popular actor, David Brubaker and Bettie Endrizzi, who appeared in hundreds of shows at Allenberry Playhouse. Wireless internet access is available in the Players Club.

History

Established in 1944.

The 57 wooded acres of Allenberry is next to the beautiful and historic Yellow Breeches Creek. There are 71 guest rooms in three lodges, each with their own distinct personality. In addition, there are honeymoon cottages, luxurious suites in the Mansion House, and the Historic Stillhouse, many with jacuzzis and fireplaces.

A warm and laid back atmosphere invites you to work by day and relax in the evening. Our fine dining gives the members of your group a chance to work and network in a casual carefree setting.

Allenberry’s variety of indoor meeting rooms and out facilities are flexible and convenient. Allenberry has free wireless DSL access available throughout the property. When your work is finished, Allenberry will entertain you. Allenberry Playhouse provides professional theatre and the famous Murder Mystery Weekends. We have four Har-Tru tennis courts, two of which are lighted for evening play. There is also an outdoor swimming pool and jacuzzi.

Meet the Business Owner

Charles H.

Business Owner

Charles A.B. Heinze II, General Manager, Allenberry Resort Inn and Playhouse

It was clear from an early age that the restaurant business was in Charles’s blood, and, following in the footsteps of his father, Jere, and his Uncle John, he spent his teenage years in the Allenberry kitchen. Charles continued the legacy of Heinzes at Penn State University, earning his degree in Hotel, Restaurant, and Institutional Management.

When Charles came home to Allenberry, he not only brought his experience and incredible skill, he brought his love and loyalty for the property. «We are a family-run business, but all of our employees are also part of that family. All of our guests are part of that family. We are fortunate that we are able to host our guests in such a personable way, making sure they feel at home in this truly special setting.»
