We tailor our swim lessons to best fit the needs of your little swimmers. Unlike other Long Island swim schools all of our instructors are certified lifeguards and the coolest people around.

Our Swimming Gurus show up right at your home to teach your swim lesson so you don’t have to worry about driving.

History

Established in 2011.

Truthfully, urSwim was born of frustration. Swim instruction on Long Island has long resembled an assembly line. Children ferried to unfamiliar and less-​than-​clean pools — taught in overcrowded classes. Children ferried back. Swimming is more than the sum of its strokes. At urSwim we recognize that it is life-​saving knowledge that inspires confidence, responsibility, and just so happens to be incredibly fun.

Business Owner

Marina loves spending time playing with her adopted cat, or rather her mini-​tiger (he’s big-​boned) Kobe. She loves teaching Kobe how to play new games on her iPad. She is a proud graduate of the George Washington University and UNC-​Chapel Hill (go Tar-​Heels!). Marina swam competitively from the age of five and has taught and lifeguarded for over 10 years. She spends her winters snowboarding and her summers falling off a surfboard at Gilgo Beach. Additionally, she suffers from a serious addiction to both The Office and Modern Family.
