Residence Inn Boca Raton

We’ve been here for eight nights. We’re local but needed to move out of our house while renovations were done. It’s spotlessly clean, our little suite has everything we need, the staff has been great and the pool is nicely heated. Breakfast is excellent and includes hot entrees. We’ve met people who come here every year and have made lifelong friends.
We’ve been Residence in fans for many years since they were always our first choice for family travel. This location doesn’t disappoint and we’ve enjoyed our stay cation.
I have no idea why another reviewer could say this place is old. Our suite seems like it’s been totally renovated with new appliances, lovely tile and carpet, modern bathroom, etc.
We have also enjoyed the lovely lake and watching the wading birds and other tropical wildlife.
Highly recommend.

I’ve had to put some of my employee’s here for a couple of weeks during training but last week I needed a place to stay for 3 nights! Staff was very friendly and helpful! The only thing I would change is the RED rooms. It was very over powering and not very relaxing.

I’m very disappointed. We’ve been loyal Marriott people for many years. This hotel is in the old style of having a 2 story 2 bedroom suite. I love these rooms and wish they’d stick with this floor plan in the new builds. However, this place needs to be torn down. It’s old, and no amount of painting and new fixtures can fix this. I really want to like it. The first room we got had an overpowering stench of mold. We set our stuff down, cranked up the AC, and went out for 5 hours. Came back– no better. The manager on duty was apologetic and moved us to the only other room of the same kind. By this time it was ten PM, otherwise we would have checked out and moved hotels. The new room smelled faintly of tomato sauce, there were water stains on the ceiling, and the door security latch was half hanging off the door. The kitchen looks fairly new, the furniture too, but bad smells and stains just completely over come that!

This is the first time I’ve stayed at this property but it won’t be the last. Everyone was extremely friendly and helpful and the stay was flawless. We had the two-​bedroom suite on the top floor and it was well appointed and came with everything we needed.
I highly recommend this property for business or pleasure.

Pleasant Surprise”
The bad news… This property is buried in an office/​industrial park, and is tough to find. The signage in the park could be better. Access to I-​95 however, is excellent.
The good news… Very comfortable accommodations for the price. Suites are really studio apartments, complete with kitchens. The included breakfast each morning has an adequate variety of hot and cold foods. What I found that makes this hotel a cut above many of the rest is the staff. Friendly and welcoming. Special kudos to Niessa Kinard and Gilbert Chalstrom who went above and beyond to help us feel welcome

Rooms are beautiful! And there is a continental breakfast.

Fantastic place for our family.
Room was huge with two queen beds and a pull out couch, kitchen was updated with stainless steel appliances. Breakfast was good but crowded. Felt like they were short a few people as staff were running around like crazy, phone at desk was going off but they kept smiling and were working hard!

Couldn’t have had a better stay. I stayed in one of the 2 bedroom 2 bath loft units with my sister, brother in law and their two kids. We had plenty of room for all of us. The kitchen had all stainless steel appliances, although I am not sure that is standard in all rooms.
The unit was clean, the décor was cozy and the beds were really comfy. The bedroom seems to block outside noise pretty well when the door is closed too. My nephew was able to take naps with no issues. We looked forward to the complimentary breakfast every morning but if you don’t get there early, it is too crowded. The breakfast wasn’t the best, but it’s decent and there is a pretty good variety. Also, 2 – 3 times per week there is a complimentary dinner with beer and lemonade, which we attended once but the food wasn’t exactly a hit either.
I was glad to see there was a fitness center, hot tub and laundry facility, all of which I used. At one point I needed a printer, which was available for guests in the office. The WiFi in our unit worked great too. All in all, I found that everything I needed came in the unit, or was available in the office.
My nephew and I walked down to the pond a couple of times and fed the ducks and gigantic turtles. The complex is pretty big but the layout is such that you don’t need to walk far to get where you are going and most importantly, I felt comfortable walking outside at night.
I really liked that there was an actual thermostat with central heat/​air for comfortable climate control. One downfall is that there is no screens on the windows. (I slept with my window open a couple of nights crossing my fingers hoping that something didn’t crawl in.)
I have no idea how the cleaning people did such a good job at staying out of our way, but they somehow managed to clean the room everyday but one, (when we stayed in the room all day) while we were not in. My sister and I wondered how they knew when we weren’t there.
I did read someones comment about the room being shaky. I would have to agree. There were a couple times I actually thought there was an earthquake because the room was shaking so bad. It is right next to 95, but in my eyes that makes the location convenient more so than a burden.

I stay at Marriott properties several times a year for work and a couple of times a year for leisure, generally. I like the brand. It’s mid-​range but clean and comfortable.
This, however, was the worst.
We checked in on a Saturday and its now the following Friday night and they finally sorta cleaned the place but left several days of wet towels in a plastic bag in the closet. The manager and general manager couldn’t care less. We called several times and they assured us they’d clean the place.
But that’s just the latest. Here’s a more complete description:
The rooms smell. The walls are peeling. The beds are lumpy. The furniture is gross. The showers are cold. The fire alarms blink all night right above the bed. The hair dryer dies out after five minutes. The room shakes due to its oddly close proximity to tri-​rail. The breakfast is nasty. The parking lot bucks up against 95.
Tonight and tomorrow night and we are out of here for good. Needless to say, avoid at all costs.

Not gonna lie. My girlfriend and I love coming here on romantic evenings, and although I haven’t told her yet, I intend for us to come here for Valentine’s Day this year (and then lunch at Punjab’s).
As stated below, the rooms here feel like you’ve got your own little studio apartment or townhouse. I can’t really comment on the price, because my girlfriend gets a family discount. You’d kill me if you knew how little I pay to stay at a Marriott (but I digress).
The atmosphere is really nice and cozy. It feels like a mini resort getaway, and the hotel is right off a lake with a little gazebo. You get a nice complimentary breakfast in the morning (complete with hot foods like eggs, biscuits and sausage). Marriott breakfasts are never going to blow your mind, but it’s better than McDonald’s.
If you’re going to stay at a Marriott in South Florida, this is my recommendation.

I was blown away by how nice this place was for the price, It’s like staying in your own Condo/​Townhouse. Great staff and well maintained rooms. All the rooms have their own Kitchens and Living rooms, which is nice. They have free Continental Breakfast Buffets, from Scrambled Eggs to Pancakes and Belgian Waffles and the food is overwhelmingly good. The «fitness center» is exaggerated however. It’s nothing but a closet that consists of a Treadmill and Stationary Bike. Overall, this place kicks ass!!!
