History

Established in 2010.

Osprey Point Golf Course, the newest PBC golf course opened on November 6, 2010. The 27-​hole golf course features «Environmental Turf Grass» (Seashore Paspalum) on greens, tees, and fairways, 2 practice putting greens, 2 practice chipping greens, and a full length double ended range.

Bethany K.

Manager

Bethany is a native of Clarkston, MI. While attending Central Michigan University, she discovered her passion for the golf industry. Bethany graduated CMU in 1996 with a Finance degree and proceeded to work in all phases of golf club management at various golf courses including; Inverrary Country Club, Presidential County Club and Miami Beach Golf Club. Bethany also worked for the South Florida PGA. Bethany was Instrumental in opening the new John Prince Golf Learning Center for Palm Beach County in 2007 and worked as Manager at Park Ridge Golf Course from 2008 through 2014.

Called a little while ago and the guy I spoke with was very rude, cut me off several times and seemed annoyed I even called. Not surprised since it’s a course run by the county. poor customer service is enough for me to not consider playing here. don’t care how nice a course is, I’d rather have an average course with awesome customer service. they just lost my business

Fun course, in pretty good shape and some challenging holes. Best part? It’s away from everything. No highways, commercial building or condos — just nature as golf was intended. I really enjoyed it and will be back.

Really fun course– 3 nines but a lot of fun — played Falcon and Raven-​well groomed nice course– people were super nice… a little confusing at the turn but it all worked out in the end… If you’re lucky you will get to see some natural wildlife laying around (alligators).

Went by myself from a recommendation of my friend who is the Ping rep Goran Lingmerth, was very happy with the layout of the course and the conditions. Team up with some nice young men on the back nine which helped me to play the course. I live in The Villages and wish that they had this course. I highly recommend.

I can’t comment about the pace of play as I go out early and walk 18 in under 3 hours 2 – 3 times per week. As for the golf course, the conditioning is outstanding, easily the equivalent of a private facility and is easily walkable (I am 68 and play the Gold tees, the 2nd longest at about 6300 yards). It’s a shame that so few people in Florida would even consider walking a golf course, they are just too lazy, I suppose. The 3 9’s have an interesting assortment of holes, lots of environmental hazards that will penalize a mishit tee shot. The courses look tougher than they are, you just have to get used to keeping the ball away from the environmental areas. Overall you can’t find a better public, municipal facility anywhere in Florida (at least from my experience) and is a real bargain as well.

Quite simply, the best public course in Palm/​Broward. How anyone could review it less than 5 stars is beyond me. Grounds are beyond lush, greens roll true. Great undulations and hole layouts. No condos/​apt buildings lining holes like so many area courses; you feel like your away from the urban jungle of SoFla. Excellent range and practice facilities. April twilight starts at 3:30 and costs 25 bucks with a cart!

I absolutely love this golf course. The layout is excellent the maintenance top notch the practice facility is second to none. Thats where it ends. Not once but nearly every time I play here (which is often) you get sent to the first tee to find not one but three groups on the opening hole. It just seems to me that there is zero concerns for pace of play. Once your allotted tee time comes
about you are on your own. Ive played many times and never once have I seen a ranger address the slow play. What a shame since its one of the best muni’s around. Me and my friends have agreed to not play here as often. The frustration outways the golf course. GET YOUR ACT TOGETHER OSPREY! Golf is losing tens of thousands of players a year due to this exact reason.

Great Golf Course, I cannot say enough good things about the course conditions and layout. The staff and personnel treated us like we were at a 5 Star Resort. I also cannot imagine the review regarding poor service and attitude form the staff.
This is one of the most kid friendly courses you’ll find anywhere, as with any course the times they can play are limited usually after 11, Osprey even has Free Club Rental for Juniors. Also Check out the $ 50 Junior card that allows unlimited play for a year with 100 free range balls.

Great courses (3 nine hole courses), very good condition. Greens fees are reasonable. I like the fact that it is not surrounded by condos or homes, which is hard to find in South Florida. The course is not long, but you do need to be accurate, or lose lots of golf balls. Course management is a must, and it is difficult to know distance to certain targets the first time you play (even with a rangefinder, although that helped). They do have a book for purchase in the clubhouse with the detailed layout, which I did not buy and wished I had. Looking forward to playing Osprey Point again!

Nice course, but very poor customer service treatment. A friend and I decided to play here on the weekday. It had rained earlier, so the course was pretty empty, and we booked our tee time for early afternoon. The staff here really needs to get a lesson in hospitality, or at the very least get an attitude check. I just cannot say enough poor things about the service from the staff here. We got to the course a little early, and when we went to check in, the guy at the front was borderline yelling at us for showing up a early. It seemed he was upset we were there to give him business. To kill some time we went to the range, where a similar story played out. The guy who we gave our stubs to to get the range balls was very flustered that we were even there.
Finally we got to get our golf cart to get on the links. When we drove the golf cart to our car in order to pickup our clubs and then a worker started yelling at us that we weren’t allowed to drive the cart to our car. Fast forwarding, we got on the course, and even though their was almost nobody on it, the workers were pretty much on top of us the entire time. From start to finish, I felt the staff was terrible in every single way possible. Very unhelpful, not happy to be there and just plain rude.
The only reason Osprey gets two-​stars (and not even lower because of the horrendous service), is that the place was very nice. Not too many sand traps, and it seemed well maintained, even though it rained earlier. Greens were cut well, and the price you pay is good for a nice game of golf. I’m a pretty amateur player, but I could tell that it was a good course for the price. If Osprey gets a nicer staff that has manners, I’d consider coming back, but until then they have completely lost my business.

Very unpleasant golf experience, from the fact that they double booked our teetime, to indifferent and rude staff and no rangers whatsoever on the golf course during the entire round of snails pace golf.

Beautiful and well maintained, I find it hard to believe that this is a public course.
There are three 9 hole courses, with rolling hills; some nice long over 500 yard holes; and generally nice wide courses, this is now my «go to» golf course. What seals it is the price, that even during peak, is only $ 35, and less if you have a frequent player card. Price includes cart.
The pace of the course is pretty good, and the rangers do a good job of limiting wait times. Also, since, there are three courses to play from, it allows you to mix it up so that you are not always playing the same course configuration.
Reservations are a must, especially during the weekends. There is also a driving range and small putting green, so you can can practice your long and short game before hitting the lynx.
