History
Established in 1982.
MAP Asset Preservation’s team consists of aviation executives with over 100 years of combined experiance in airlines, part 145 repair stations, asset management, & financial services.
Patrick Harris & Dick Wellman partnered up to create MAP Asset Preservation LLC. With rising oil prices and an increasing supply of end-of-life aircraft and engines, MAP was well positioned to open their aircraft storage & teardown facility.
MAP has since harvested over 40 aircraft including:
Boeing 737 – 200. 737 – 300, 747 – 300
McDonald Douglas DC-9, MD-80
Airbus A300, A320
MAP now has three teardown facilities in Boca Raton Florida (KBCT), Wilmington Ohio (KILN) & Tampa Florida (KBKV).
