New owner is an arrogant putzhead. In addition to breaking people’s kishkas when they grab a few issues of the complimentary(ie. free in flashing neon lights) magazine Nostalgic America, he also has a $ 10 minimum on credit card purchases. This is an outright merchant violation. Mastercard & Visa do not authorize minimums or maximums on purchases. If a customer wants to spend $ 1 on their credit card, they have the legal right to do so. If you don’t want to spend on swipe fees, run a cash business. Otherwise, customers should not be forced into spending more money and/or using cash because putzhead over there doesn’t want to spend on extra CC fees. That’s the process of doing business. The previous owner(actually from Long Island, NY) should have vetted his personality before selling him his store. When he loses the ability to accept credit cards, then maybe he’ll lose some of his arrogance. 3 stars for quality food, 2 stars for being an arrogant S-head.

SOFT bagels. Very tasty. Great service. They put out a good product. Nice that you can get breakfast throughout the day… But, the bagels are sooooo soft. Super Yummy!

kids and I went. They had breakfast and I had a sandwich. Both were excellent. Service was great and typical diner with the saucy waitress. Loved it and will be back. Warm and friendly atmosphere.

Place was a little dirty… Cook gave me a wink when I walked in(probably because I was the only one under 65) but that didn’t take away from the average tuna sandwich I had. Bagels were light and fluffy, not dense. They had some deli classics like pickled tomatoes. Overall a decent experience.

Good customer service and clean restaurant. The French toast is large and wonderful. Busy on the weekend witch is always a good sign

We found this place on a fluke and I cannot stop going there for breakfast. The food is very consistent and priced right. Service is always good and restaurant is clean and food comes out fast. Bagels are huge and I got the corned beef and pastrami to go and they were both excellent. Would definitely recommend to everyone.

Best deli in town. Friendly service, but needs more staff and more tables for the customers. I love the food but service needs to be faster and the wait time redused

Grilled foods are relatively good, no complains here — quite standard on all fronts, Matzo ball soup was also quite good; though their wraps and sandwhiches are quite poor and tasteless.

Love this place. The fact they have pork roll on the menu made my day. I’m a jersey girl and this is the closet thing to Ny/NJ food I can get down here. Plus you can get anything you want to go or cut from the deli section.

My official Sunday place. I can afford to take my family here for eggn, bagels, cou try potatoes etc for a decent price… For those of you that complained about the bagels NOT being«long island» bagels… Well we are NOT in NY, idiots. For FLORIDA, these are damn good bagels, and they have EGG bagels too, which nobody around here has

This place is always slammed on the weekend and the food is good but not amazing. The bagels are not normal dense NY bagels but are much more fluffy and similar consistency to a dinner roll but are still pretty light and delicious. The waitresses are really friendly and service is very quick once you are seated. The prices are also very fair and all breakfast specials before 11am come with coffee, which is a really nice benefit. The host who also serves as the check-out guy(because you pay at the register) has a bit of an attitude and seems very disorganized which is a bit of a turn off. who wants to stand in a line to get in and then another line to pay? Overall if you are in West Boca it’s a decent breakfast place, cheap and fast. Nothing amazing here though.

My first and only visit was ~11 on Saturday. It took me ~25 minutes to walk out with my bagel order. Overall, i liked the bagels and would go back but only on a weekday and if i’m in the area /if convenient. Negative: 1. HIGHLY disorganized entry area. Chaotic. No organization to people ordering, people paying and people waiting to be seated. No attempt by management to bring order to the chaos. 2. Once i placed my order it was misplaced. My order was a simple bagel-to-go…i should have been in and out. My 25 mins would have been longer were i not assertive(holding my place in «line», ask for status of order, etc). 3. I paid for 18 bagels and rec’d only 15. Positive: 1. Fair price 2. I liked the bagels. Some folks would definitely find them too doughy… but the bagel was to my liking.

No, No No. These are NOT Long Island bagels!!! Just because the restaurant name says Long Island does NOT make them Long Island bagels. I have been eating REAL Long Island bagels for 49 years. These so called bagels would be considered ROLLS not bagels on the Island, Queens, Brooklyn or Manhattan. Or even New Jersey for that matter. If you want a roll than by all means come here. If your seeking a real New York style bagel please trust me when I say you will be highly disappointed. I stopped in here yesterday morning to pick up some takeout for breakfast and lunch. I really didn’t want to go to Publix, so I wanted to get enough stuff so I would have leftovers for todays lunch as well. That didn’t happen because just about everything I purchased wound up in my garbage. Bagels: Ridiculously large thick circular balls of dough. As we all know, bagels usually have a whole in the middle. Not here. There is just a little area in the middle that looks like they pressed it or something to make it look pretty. Veggie Cream Cheese: The cream cheese was watered down and had a runny texture. It did have lots of veggies that appeared to be fresh. But because the cream cheese was not thick it ran off my piece of bagel that I attempted to eat. Tuna Salad: They use Hellman’s mayo so I thought it would be good. What I didn’t notice is that they use the dark or chunk light tuna. I only eat white tuna so I wouldn’t have liked this anyway. Whitefish Salad: Looked delicious. I opened the container and started to gag. It smelled horrible. Listen, I am Jewish & I know that these salads smell a little fishy. This whitefish salad took fishy to a whole new level. I actually had to spray my kitchen with a room freshener to get rid of the stink. Luckily I purchased tiny amounts of both the tuna & the whitefish salad. Potato Salad: I couldn’t find the potatoes because they were literally swimming in mayo. I like mayo within moderation but this was disgusting. The counter service people were very nice. Probably even from New York. What did impress me was that the counter guy greeted everybody by name. And the customers coming up to the register to pay all looked happy. Maybe my expectations were set high because I was expecting an authentic NY bagel. I purchased very small amounts of the above items. I noticed the cashier rang up something for 8.50& I knew I didn’t buy anything that expensive. I pointed it out to him and he accidently charged me 8.50 for an item that was actually 2.50. I am sure it was just an accidental mistake. We all make them. It was no big deal because he corrected it right away. In my opinion the name Long Island Bagel is very deceiving. If it said Long Island Rolls I would understand. But they are selling bagels and this Ex LI girl was extremely let down.

Went in for a quick breakfast, became my official Sunday breakfast place with friends and family. All the waitresses and staff are friendly to a point you feel at home.

I have had takeout from this place quite a few times. Their prices are reasonable and the portions are large. I like their platters, everything has always been fresh. I have never gotten any tomatoes or onions that didn’t seem freshly sliced. Plus I’ve never gotten any wilted lettuce. The food is your typical NY style deli, which is good, but nothing truly original or memorable, just good old fashioned deli. So it’s really 4 stars, not 5 just because there’s really no «original» menu items that have caught my eye. As far as the atmosphere, I’ve only eaten here 2 times, but really wasn’t that comfortable. First of all, it’s always so crowded. Secondly, that huge mirror that is on the wall is really distracting when you see your reflection when you look up from eating.

If you are looking for an authentic New York style deli, this is one of the many options in Boca Raton. The deli counter houses some of the delicious deli options you expect to find at a place like this. Things like white fish, nova, lox, various spreads and salads. The bagel selection is nice. The prices are reasonable. The food is what you what would expect from a place like this. Sometimes I do get concerned that they are more focused on «turning over tables» than service since you sometimes feel rushed. That is understandable though because if you show up at the wrong time, the lines get a little long. Overall decent deli with tasty food and wide selection.

5 stars for food, service and quality. Aside from wait times one of my favorite eat out places. I drive by every weekend looking for breakfast and 3 out of 4 times I just pass by because the line is out the door. Definately one of my favorite breakfast places. But also everyone else’s too.

Just found this place on the way back home… was actually in line at Burger King in the same shopping center(needed something quick) and when standing in line I saw the bagel place and thought ‘I can wait 2 minutes more’. Ordered a tuna on bagel, matzoh ball w/chicken noodle soup, and a doc brown’s. I thought it was fantastic. Bagels were delicious as was the Tuna. We commented it was some of the best we had down here. In fact we liked it so much that we went the next day with the kids. I had the same thing and the kids had egg salad… all was great. Will return.
