I would not have made a Unilocal account if not for my dire urge to save other living, breathing humans from the moral travesty that is Hurricane Grill & Wings. I spent three hours in a nigh empty restaurant, half of it waiting for food and half waiting for the demon spawn who operate the tenth level of hell to finish cackling behind the bar in full sight of my table and bring me my change – over half an hour with empty cups, waiting for a group of six brain dead, pus leaking, meth addled bald men to finish stealing my friends’ credit card information. Three hours in the depths of the blind inferno and not one apology. Also the food sucked.

Got the philly cheesesteak and parmesan french fries. The cheesesteak was okay, could have been better if they vegetables in there weren’t burnt. The item that made the dish were the parmesan french fries.

Not a bad place to hang out with friends and have some beers, not much more than that as far as environment. Service is ok, and while people say the wings are great, what I went with was the Sante Fe Churrasco, a marinated steak with fries, and boy was I satisfied, as it was full of flavor and definitely beats out a typical basket of wings from other similar sports grills. Probably have other places I’d prefer to hang out with buddies but I can definitely see me coming back soon!

Wings were good! Crispy and a lot of sauce which is good. moist so not dry wings. Blue cheese is amazing. Not watered down. Very rich and creamy chunky with blue cheese . I disliked the garlic parm fries … Damped in oil. Not hot at all, was never offered any condiments with it . Another con was that even though this place is suppose to be about wings … You can only divide your wings into no more than 2 flavors so If you do 15, 25 it doesn’t matter cause you cant do more than 2 choices.

Always friendly, decent food. Wings are pretty good, lots of flavors, I love the Habanero Lime dry rub. They also will it in fish and steaks. Cheap, good service, good value

I have been a customer of Hurricane Wings for a very long time. Growing up in Port St Lucie, and now living in Boca, everytime I have friends or family visiting I take them for wings to Hurricanes. When I have a get together or party I buy from Hurricanes. Sundays after golf we go to Hurricanes. My local Boca-Powerline Road location is where most of my visits and To-Go orders have been placed. This location rarely appears to be very busy but yet I consistently have issues with time to get an order and accuracy of my order. For example, today(4.1.2012) I placed an order for pick up. They said to pick up in 15 minutes. I showed up 20 minutes after my call. I waited in the location for another 15 – 20 minutes to receive my order. This is common for an order to take twice the time told, instead of telling me to come in 30 – 45 minutes. Additionally, I had to explain my order about 5 or 6 times to the gentlemen on the phone when placing my order. I was simply trying to combine to sauces on my wings. We finally got this correct on the phone. Then when I paid I asked to confirm that we got the sauces correctly ordered. When I got home the order was not correcct. The sauces were not ordered correctly. I called and politely asked to speak to the manager. I explained all of this context to him and stated I find it difficult to continue to spend my money in a store that is just constantly not getting my food in the correct time and not getting my food right. His response was«OK…» I stated that was all I guess we had to speak about. No apology. No «What was your order? What was incorrect?» Nothing. I would hope this information is forwarded to the franchise owner of this location. As someone who travels and trains managers on customer service for a large retailer, I would be very disappointed to hear if this interaction happened with one of my locations. I will not eat a Hurricanes again. Not in Boca or Port St Lucie, or Palm Beach Gardens, or any of the many locations I like to visit frequently. To be so completely disregarded as a customer is something I have never experienced before. Joshua

Pleasantly surprised by this sports bar grille. The wings were good with 30 types of sauce. Lots of flat screen TVs with various football games on. Large colorful menu with lots of good photos and choices. Good prices. Definately will go back. Conveniently located and beats other sports bars like duffys etc.

I stopped in when I first moved to Boca because it seemed to have the ambiance of a Margaritaville… and I’m a HUGE Buffett fan. Anyways, they definitely try for the escapism feel but miss it by a looong shot. What throws it off is the poker tables and annoying loudness radiating from that section. It feels like a Bahama Breeze meets Buffalo Wild Wings in there. The service is terribly slow, TERRIBLY S-L-O-W! So I went back about a month ago before we were heading to a tattoo shop to get a quick beer and contemplate my tattoo-impulsivity. I sat out back on the patio for 25-minutes, literally 25-minutes. The guy bartending was visiting a table of drunk women right behind me. He looked at me about ten minutes in and said«be right there». At the 25-minute mark I got up and started walking out. He stopped me and said«what can i get you?» I stared at him, smirked, and walked out. It was very poor. So, I go back last week as I didn’t want to drive because I was being lazy. Sat inside and ordered nachos. A lady went to wipe the booth off, forgot to come back, and another host sat my booth. So, I ended up at a table. Ordered the nachos. They sound good, but they are messy and impossible to eat. It ends up being like a cheese dip with mushy chips. Food-wise, the chicken strips and wings are pretty good. The nachos are bad. Can’t speak much more for the food. This place would be alright if they stepped up the service. And I“m not a stuck up West Boca person, I come from Minnesota where EVERYTHING is slow. So when I say they are slow, think how they talk in the movie«Fargo» and visualize those actors being servers. I’d definitely pass on this one and go to the Brickyard next door.

This place is a tough place to rate. It’s a basic sports bar and nothing impressive really. I have to say, they do have an indescribable appeal that keeps me coming back! I’ve been here a few times and I always leave extremely satisfied. The décor has a Caribbean feel and the menu even reflects that. There’s a bunch of great seafood options as well as the regular sports bar menu standards. Even though I don’t eat wings, you couldn’t ask for more of a selection and variety of wings sauces(probably like 30 from mild to super hot). It’s almost ridiculous how many they offer! They’re cool if you want to sample the sauces first, too. They even have a few veggie friendly choices. I highly recommend the salads. Everything I’ve ordered has been delicious and executed perfectly. Service is not horrible and it’s not fantastic either. Usually they are pretty accommodating and friendly. I admit, it could be faster. The outside bar and seating are nice if it’s not 100 degrees out. Beth’s Tip: Parmesan garlic fries are an absolute must.

Super fresh Mahi sandwich = one of the best around. The wings are also very good and lots of kick in the sauce. Tons of flat screen TVs showing sports make this place a sprots bar with a Keys flavor. Lots of outdoor seating and parking is plentiful.

Went here to watch part of the Gators game. The place itself seemed to have no energy, esp with the fact that the Gators were playing was pretty disappointing. I sat at the bar, and the bartender took forever to acknowledge me. Ordered the chicken wrap and it was pretty forgettable. Probably won’t come back.

I had a really positive experience at this restaurant today! It is located right across the street from my workplace, so my coworker and I walked over to grab some lunch. It has a tropical, relaxed atmosphere with Island music playing, a nice little break from my hectic work schedule. We ordered 2 dishes to share, the monterey quesadilla and the santa fe chicken wrap, which were both very satisfying. We got a side of the«gold rush» sauce to go with them, which definitely enhanced the flavor of both items. I also dipped the french fries in it, yummy! What I found unique is that they offer different levels of «flavors», which are essentially sauces of varying spiciness. They range from category 1(calm before the storm) to category 5(seek shelter), which I thought was a fun play on the name of the place. The staff and management were also very friendly and pleasant. When it started to downpour, the manager even offered to give us a ride back to work, very thoughtful! I will definitely return to this restaurant and try out some of the other specials.

First, the 16 year old host seemed distraught that we asked to sit at a specific table by the window(the place was half empty… or half full, whatever). The boneless wings were so hard we could barely cut into them and had very little white meat. The spinach dip was good, but looked like the small bowl was half full. The garlic fries would have been good if they were served to whoever was eating an hour before us. I also told the sever about the wings(we left half of them) and she just said she’d tell the kitchen because«they’d like to know that.» Yeah, won’t be going back. We literally left and ate somewhere else. What a waste. Price: B+ Food: F Service: C– Atmosphere: B–

I came here again for a school function so there were about 20 of us. The food looked decent but the service was terrible! They don’t have happy hour so you’ll spend $ 7 on a mojito(at a cheap-looking sports bar!!!) that has nothing special about it. I’m definitely not coming back and sticking to the other sports bars in the area(Duffy’s, Bru’s Room, etc).

Nice atmosphere. Very good service. Good food. A little pricey but not too bad. Enjoyed outdoor seating for lunch. Was my first time there. Will probably go back. I would probably rate it 3.5 stars if that was an option. I’ll have to go back again and see…

The claim — fresh jumbo wings. Ok, I give them the fresh. I dispute the jumbo. Big wings, I can handle ten, fifteen max. I had twenty of these and was looking about for more. When each wing is a buck, I want big wings. The«kettle chips» were not seasoned, no salt, and were cold. Cold! You get the same thing at Publix for three bucks, and I paid four? Twenty five bucks total, and I don’t know what I paid for. Someone is making a mint off these Boca idiots. The sauces — medium wing sauce was okay. Honey garlic was decent. Thai Ginger and garlic was goo. Parmesean and garlic didn’t have enough of either. The ambiance — so clean it didn’t smell like food. Seriously. That, in my book, is a bad sign. If the place is overly sterilized, it has no soul.

Hurricane Grill and Wings kind of feels like dining in a Corona commercial or imagine creating a chain restaurant in suburbia based on a Keys bar like Gilbert’s. It won’t have an authentic feel, but there will be a sense of familiarity to make it comfortable. Wings good. I stuck with traditional buffalo sauce(aka Hot Hurricane Sauce) and thought it was pretty tasty. If you want an adventure, chart a course through their three dozen sauces. Service was very good, waitress was friendly, offered suggestions and brought over the iced tea refill just as I finished the previous glass. In addition to wings, Hurricane offers sandwiches, salads, seafood and other choices, but it was the wings that drew me in and if in the neighborhood, I’d go back.

Hubs and I ate here on opening night and left impressed. First, the setting: the restaurant was CLEAN, which, for OCD folk like myself is always a good sign. The lights were not dimmed to the point that we couldn’t recognize our food, and the music was at a I-can-recognize-this-song-but-I-can-also-have-a-conversation level. Wow, I just reread that paragraph and realize I sound like an old lady. Anyway, the wings are the reason to go, and our server said they’re fresh and never frozen. I definitely felt like these were a little more quality tasting than the average wing. We tried four flavors on an order of 20 wings and though we weren’t crazy about all of them(Thai ginger glaze is a little too sticky sweet), the other flavors were good, especially ancho chile lime and fire & ice, which includes horseradish for an extra kick. We also tried the loaded fries, which were smothered in cheese and bacon and other awesomeness and reminds me… I should stop writing this review and go to the gym. We’ve been in search of a local bar and grill that’s close to our house; serves Coke(for some reason, Bru’s serves Pepsi, WHY?); isn’t filled with Boca dbags(time will tell, but the first night was dbag-free); has a waitstaff that doesn’t act like refilling drinks and bringing a check is asking too much; and, most importantly, has good food. Now that Hurricane is in the ‘hood, I think we’ve found that spot.
