Where to go to make alterations to the 2 dresses I have for my sister’s wedding? Only two weeks away, need someone who’ll do it quick and right.
My sister recommended this lady and I’m so glad she did. Both dresses were too long. With these it’s not just a quick adjustment to the hem, because of the delicate fabric a lot could have gone wrong but not here. My dresses were ready in less than a week and look exactly as they did when I bought them. You would not be able to tell they were altered.
Cost is a bit pricey but totally worth it. Service is great, very friendly and personable, and you feel very confident leaving your clothes here.

There are very few people I’d trust with my wedding dress, but Susie at European Touch is one of them! I had a slight panic attack when we shipped my beautiful gownto Florida knowing that it would need some alterations. My mom assured me it wouldn’t be a problem because we would take the dress to Susie.
Back when I was a 13 yr old youngin I insisted on having a white bat-​mitzvah dress so my mom took me to a wedding dress boutique and we had Susie turn it into a fabulous dress with a huge bubble skirt and big white puffy sleeves. Oh c’mon…you know you’re all jealous! All of a sudden I had visions of Susie turning my gorgeous Vera Wang gown into a hideous 80’s creation. But Susie, like my style (although I still have a thing for bubble skirts), has evolved with the times and is still the best seamstress in town… or so my mom tells me!
I put on my dress and Susie knew exactly what to do… and thank goodness because I get a little confused when it comes to the whole bustling thing! I also want to add a sash to my dress (hey, at least it’s not big puffy sleeves!) and she even went to check out wedding gowns so she could see the Vera Wang signature bow (yep, she even has a signature bow) in person… how amazing is that!
I haven’t seen the finished product yet so I’ll be updating this review, but based on my fitting and past experiences with Susie I know I’m in good hands. I should also probably mention she’s a little expensive, but you get what you pay for… now if only I could find myself a Susie in Chicago!
