My family used Boca Express Travel to book a cruise over the holidays on Royal Caribbean.
The cruise was enjoyable but the experience of working with Boca Express Travel was less than par.
Our agent, Paul Corin, was all but unreachable — several phone calls from various parties went unanswered — and almost every request went unfulfilled despite promises that «he is working on it…» The stock response was «everything will work out once you get on the ship».
This lofty «easy answer» claim was not exactly true as there were issues with pre-​trip information, dining reservations as well as an excursion booked through the agency with a third party.
My feeling is that once the agent collected booking fees, his responsibilities ceased to exist. It wasn’t until after several phones calls that we spoke with a «supervisor» and were given cursory information that made travel and/​or the cruise easier.
With this utter lack of customer service, there is really no need to use a travel agent as you can easily book a cruise online AND take advantage of the ever changing promotions.
It is sad when a business thinks that the words «customer service» are an oxymoron but that was our experience with Boca Express Travel.
