Education: Yeshiva University (B.A. cum laude, 1964); New York University (M.A., 1966; Ph.D.-ABD, 1968); New York Law School (J.D., cum laude, 1978).

National First Place Winner, American Bar Association Howard C. Schwab Family Law Award. Recipient: Corpus Juris Secundum Award for Significant Legal Scholarship, 1975; American Jurisprudence Award for Excellence in the Study of Torts, 1975; AJC Konrad Adenauer International Award, 1992.
