Specialties
Armadillo Café features a blend of Modern and Global Southwestern Cuisine’s. Unique appetizers and small plates. Oversized salads built for two. Local produce specialities that will bring you back to tastes you have long forgotton. A chef driven menu of seafood, select cuts of meat and free range natural chicken. We have our own smoker in house and we love to play in the BBQ sandbox. All of our desserts are made by our chefs and we always run interesting specials that show passion for food. Also we have curated a very nice, (and well priced), wine and craft beer menu.
History
Established in 1988.
The original Armadillo Café was opened in downtown Davie, by Chefs Kevin McCarthy and Eve Montella-Smith. Catching the wave of chef driven New American Cuisine restaurants. The Armadillo cultivated the good will of many great customers who became our friends. Moving to a new location in Davie in 2001 near Nova University and the Miami Dolphins Training camp. The came our location in Dania Beach, «Armadillo Beach». The «Beach» closed in 2009. And after a Executive Chef Gig at Gulfstream Racetrack and Casino, I am back in the saddle here at The Armadillo Café in Boca Raton Florida.
