American Nails and Spa

The guy who did my pedicure kept hitting on my mom and made us both extremely uncomfortable, not to mention the fact that he missed most of my edges and the woman who did my mom’s pedi didn’t even bother to cut her cuticles or thoroughly remove her old polish. Both of our pedicures were hastily done and combined with the lack of professionalism on the male pedicurist’s part, I will not be returning.

This nail salon is located in west Boca in the Westwinds plaza on 441 and Glades intersection. It is right next to Petco and there is plenty parking outside. I called them at 12 and they took me in for a fill and pedicure at 12:15 pm.
I had absolutely no wait time, they took me in right away. This nail salon has modern décor and by the looks of it very clean. The staff were very friendly to me. My nail tech was very talkative and nice. I forgot his name but he did a great job on my nails and feet.
There was a minor issue regarding pricing. Over the phone, I was told fills were $ 15 and pedicures were $ 20. However, when I arrived, my nail tech informed me my fill would be $ 25 I told him about the $ 15 quote and he brought over the receptionist to get to the bottom of the miscommunication.
They told me a few things were extra charges (changing nail shape & adding nails) and that’s why it was a different price. I understood and we settled on the price. Other than that minor issue, this nail salon pleasantly surprised me!

The 1 star is for the great massage, but the pedicure was awful!!! The polish looked nice in the bottle, but it most have been diluted as it hardly showed up — not to mention my toes looked so uneven and splotchy — my 3 yr old could have done a better job. The worst part is I have ingrowns on nearly all my toes now and need to see the podiatrist. I should send them the bill!

Clean and very cute looking salon. They take walk ins, have reasonable prices and everyone does a great job. Pedicure chairs are very good

I just moved to the area from NY where I’ve had my go to nail salon for years. I was very impressed. I only came in for a pedicure but am very much satisfied & will most likely be back here for a fill. It’s clean & she took her time on a regular pedicure. The massage chairs are great! Great color selection! I can see them getting busy so I’d prob call to make an appointment in the future but I did walk in no problem. 4 stars for now I’ll check back in after my filling.

They do an amazing job! Clean place, good prices and take their time. Def recommend !

I had 2 days and my nails look horrible and I paid like 50 I’m going to another please for do it again

My French gel manicure is still perfect and it has already been a week! Usually my nails will chip after a few days too. The salon is perfectly located in a shopping plaza with publix, ulta, and dsw. Very relaxing and beautiful inside. I love the pedicure chairs here and all the colors to choose from. Can’t wait to come back here again!

Had not been here in a while and quickly remember why. Had a pink and white fill with a gentleman who must have been new to the business. Burned my nails and then sliced my nail beds with the nail file. All that and took him over an hour for a fill. Pay the extra $$ and head to the boca nail studio… they are always professional and do excellent work.

This salon was my go to place until I went in and the woman refused to listen to me when I told her that she was very close to cutting my skin when she was clipping my nails. She actually told me that I worry too much and to «look away»! Within seconds she took a huge chunk of skin off my thumb with the clippers! I was so upset and they still made me pay the $ 20 for my pedi that I already had. The pedi was mediocre at best. my nails were cut at an angle and polish was streaky. I left with half of my fingernails cut and a thumb that was bleeding all down my hand. VERY UPSET!!!

Very disappointed! I have been a client of this nail salon since it opened and was very pleased with the results until today! I found out that my regular nail tech Henry has left and it is under new management! I showed up for my 12:30 appointment and was told to wait as my nail tech was starting a new client! I was told if I did not want to wait that I could leave. Needless to say– I am taking my business elsewhere!

I’m so unsatisfied with my whole experience. this nail salon left a bad taste in my mouth! Very NASTY! My nails look HORRIBLE ! They straight out lie to your face to make you spend more money. They didn’t even apply oil on my cuticles. there is acrylic under my nails I have cuts! Waves. nails not filed properly! Keep CALM and drive to next salon! don’t be fooled cause they claim to be the nicest and cleanest they stink!

Quick, relaxing and both my hands and feet are so cute! Highly recommended this place. I am in from CA and stopped I and I am really glad I did. Got my eyebrows done too

I went in for a Next Gen and Eyelash. The atmosphere was friendly but my nail was all wrong and they was not willingly to assist for a Redo, then I had my Eyelash done and they Eyelash fell out next day and the owner had the nerves to complain about redo– and stated to find somewhere else to do them. To bad My Son and daughter gave them business for a mani and pedi. even with all the badd experience I still gave a Tip of $ 32.00 … Not customer oriented

This is my 3^rd gel manicure with Kate and I can’t say enough wonderful things about her and the salon. Kate is meticulous and does an excellent job every time. My manicure lasts 2 weeks, sometimes more, and I am thrilled. Also the price is super affordable, the salon is clean and beautiful, and they have tons of colors to choose from. I am so happy I found this place!

Never again. Got a pedicure here and the girl cut the corner of my toe at the base of the nail. I had minor bleeding and my toe was infected the next day swollen and black and blue.
Currently on antibiotics to fight the infection.

This place is anything but American. I was in town for a business meeting, in desperate need of a gel powder fill and manicure, I and drove west based on these 5 star reviews. The owner was welcoming and said they could take care of me without an appointment. I should her how evenly filed and natural looking I like to have them look. «no problem, we fix for you» First of all, they used acrylic powder not gel powder that I asked for and paid for (My regular manicurist in Miami told me this when I went to her to have my nails redone) Secondly, they came out thick, uneven and I left with dried acrylic on my fingertips, I was embarassed at my meeting. I decided to leave this experience behind me, but 2 days later, my gel started to bubble and peel from the middle of my nails. I had to get them redone, payed for 2 gel manicures in one week. :(Very disappointed.

American Nails & Spa is my new official manicure & pedicure spot in West Boca. I’ve visited several times, and always just popped in without an appointment; they’re located right next to Petco which is mighty convenient if you have as many pets as I do. They’ve always accommodated me, and I’ve never had to wait for more than 10 minutes. Also, I’m loyal to Henry (or Jimmy, on his days off!) and they’ve been wonderful about placing me in his chair whenever possible too.
The salon is clean, brightly lit and decorated in a modern manner with recessed lighting and a gorgeous prismatic chandelier. The massaging pedicure chairs (14 of them!) are all matching, super comfy and practically brand new. The staff utilizes disposable basin liners, which is amazing for germ conscious people like me, PLUS they autoclave all of their instruments between clients! It is so reassuring; they come out in a perfect little sealed sterilization packet just like the ones we use at work (I’m a dental assistant — I know about this stuff)! There are four large flat screen tv’s, usually tuned to current events, and soothing music playing softly in the background. Overall, the vibe is very soothing. The color selection is incredible! Tons and tons of colors, OPI, Essie and China Glaze polishes, even the current limited edition collections, and they have hundreds of swatches of gel colors as well. You will not be disappointed, so I hope you came in a decisive type of mood.
Again, I’ll mention Henry — he is excellent — gives a delightful massage and has terrific attention to detail. I would definitely recommend him. Do bear in mind, while credit and debit cards are accepted, a CASH TIP is always preferred (and most often mandated) — there is a Wells Fargo and a Publix ATM in the plaza — so come prepared and no excuses!

Great! They were very attentive and took care of my nails. Got a mani/​pedi. They stayed over an hour past close time to finish me since I came so close to closing. Very attentive and nail tech was awesome!
