If they don’t have what you’re looking for, ask for it enough and they’ll special order just for you. B&G also does kegs, but you order in advance, which is the standard. This store may not be beautiful but it’s got fantastic cigarette prices per-pack and they always have packs with $ 0.75 cents off labels, which is a plus when you’re on a budget.

While looking for a decent corkscrew and a bottle of wine in Blue Springs, and I thought about this liquor store. To me, liquor stores bring up an image of a guy behind the counter, with Hustler and Screw for sale. I don’t like liquor stores, and it took alot of guts to go into this one. Thankfully, there was a woman was behind the counter, and I didn’t see a Hustler or a Screw magazine. But what was all the stacked boxes, dirty floor, and what??? No decent corkscrews? You’re kidding me. There was a small refrigerator with 24’s and 40’s and individual cans of beer, a few shelves of vodka, and gin, whiskey, and rum. Probably 3 – 4 long shelves of rum and a tiny amount of wine. There was also a display of wine bottles from all prices, and brands… from Boone’s Farm on up. I knit, and when I finish a project(sweater or scarf, or shawl,) I have a glass of wine. Period. Wine intrigues me. I don’t drink much, but what I do drink, I don’t mind spending a bit more for, and getting something good. Sometimes my lack of knowledge on liquor needs guidance. The lady behind the counter wasn’t much help towards me getting a corkscrew, or a decent bottle of wine. The corkscrews she had fit on a keychain. And I broke one like that last week. B and G Liquor Mart has been there for a long time. It seems to be more of a convenience liquor store. That it is, and it fills a need. But not mine.
