Sadly, I can’t speak to the quality of the food. We walked in and waited to be seated. We then had to ask to be seated. We were given menus and assured a waitress would be with us shortly. Several, helped already seated patrons and gave us the side eye as they zipped by our table. After 15 minutes we asked the gentleman who seated us if someone was going to help us. He said he’d get someone for us. He spoke to a waitress and asked if she was going to help us. She audibly replied, «no.» Flustered, he went about trying to rally the rest of the lazy staff. I rolled my eyes and suggested we leave. There were 3 other seated tables and at least as many wait staff. One of the meth addled staff seemed more interested in counting her money than helping anyone.

Great location. But the coffee was room temperature when I got it. I asked to microwave it because it just was not hot. Their desserts are ok, not the best. I had the cookie and not mouth watering. The displays of the food seem unappealing and sparse. The girl at the front is sweet but overall, but had no choice since there was no other coffee shops open in Blue Ridge.

I loved L&L Beanery when I was visiting Blue Ridge! I actually went to the smaller coffee shop version on E. Main St. It was the cutest little coffee shop in the world. Every time I went, the baristas were nice and friendly. It was never crowded so I could enjoy drinking my hot chocolate in peace. They also had a little checker board towards the back where I could play a fun game with my dad and sisters. L&L was by far my coffee shop!

The quick of it: — Bad attitude employees rolling their eyes — Unattractive, messy, disorganized store inside — Ran out of tons of stuff on a Sunday morning The not so quick of it: We came here on a cold Sunday morning before the Blue Ridge train ride to get some coffee to warm up. Walking into the café, my first impression was their counter and the area behind it were extremely messy, disorganized, and poorly decorated. It looked like they just open like two days before that. After standing in line for a few minutes, the young girl working behind the counter had to go in and out once or twice and was giving people in the line a negative tone every time she had to do it, accompanied by a heaving sigh and rolling eyes. If your employees can’t handle a busy time in a coffee shop, they shouldn’t be working there. While we were standing in line an older woman(I’m assuming manager? Owner?) saw that the line was going out the door and tried to bring the whole line inside in a really convoluted confusing way that only made things worse. She tried to explain that she didn’t want them waiting outside in the cold, but after movie the line and people getting skipped over, etc, most people seemed like they would have rather just been in a normal line, even if it did go outside. We finally got to the counter and I asked if I could get a coffee with soy milk, almond milk, or whatever substitute they had. They were out… After being open only a few hours. So I ask if they have any herbal teas… They don’t. So I ended up not ordering anything. The rest of my party had ordered regular coffees that took the barista five minutes to finally give to them. And then the coffee wasn’t even that great. Nothing about our experience was good. I’m assuming because it’s like one of two coffee shops in the area people have to go there and that’s how they get their business. I really hope a good, legit coffee place opens up in Blue Ridge soon because they desperately need it.

GOOD: The quality of the coffee was good and the atmosphere was nice. A good place to just sit and enjoy if you’re not in a hurry. BAD: The baristas are slow… Not a good response time to take orders. I ordered a cappuccino, they made me something that they called a cappuccino, but it was really just a latte. Mostly because the equipment they’re using doesn’t really froth like professional cappuccino equipment. UGLY: None.

Came here in March 2014 and this place was amazing. Great prices, great food. Their strawberry crepes were amazing. This time? The service was terrible and the food was expensive. Our water cup was leaking. They took it away, and 5 minutes later we had to ask for another cup of water and some napkins to clean up. The price of the food for the amount you get is crazy. One crêpe was $ 8. We won’t be coming back.

Good coffee, good ambiance, good people. Richard at the Main Street location is a great host.

Being in the service industry myself, I would always prefer someone tell me if they had a bad experience rather than writing a review for the world to see. I had every intention of telling the woman at the counter these things, but not a single person asked how our meal was. I believe we paid with the owner or the manager of the store and she barely looked at us much less asked about our experience. Maybe that is part of the problem. First I want to say that this is very cute, quaint café that has all the southern charm in the world. We had a sweet little table and were seated right away. The food was ok to good, but cold. We ordered coffee and we LOVE coffee. We expected great coffee, after all they do have the words«beanery» and«coffee» in their name. The coffee was warm at best, had grounds(hope they were grounds) floating in it and watery. The waitress offered cream, but didn’t bring it. We were not given spoons either and had to ask for both. We were brought the little disposable cups of half and half. Maybe this is me, but if I had a coffee shop café, I would serve fresh cream with superb hot coffee especially to those who choose to dine in. I ordered French toast, which was good. Very simple and barely warm. After a bite it was room temperature. It wasn’t served with any garnish or sides. My husband got eggs Benedict and side of grits. I love eggs Benedict and the eggs weren’t quite cooked long enough. It was still good however. The grits were hard and cold. Nothing warm about them. Whoever plated these grits had to know that they were not ok to serve a customer by the texture and appearance. That part is very frustrating. We let the waitress know, she said she would have the cook make some more, which never came. We told her not to worry about them when she offered the bill. Whether they meant to, the service screamed a lack of care and concern of customer experience. I know they can do better with just a touch of additional thought and preparation. Please, please don’t take your customers money without asking how their meal was. This is a simple gesture that goes a long way, especially when you could use some feedback.

Love this coffee shop! Every time we visit Blue Ridge we always make a stop here for coffee snacks. I personally love their cappuccinos — not bitter in the least and it comes off very smooth and creamy, and doesn’t leave you feeling heavy afterwards. They also have a variety of sweetened flavored coffees for those who like it sweeter. I’ve tried a few of their pastries, cakes, and bagels and they’re all pretty good and all are pretty light in texture so you don’t get weighed down on these hot summer days. I love the atmosphere and the barista is always friendly and helpful and recognizes us every time even though we only come once a year. I definitely recommend this shop while exploring downtown Blue Ridge.

Waited for our food for 45 minutes. Food never came and the waitress came to our table 3 times to tell us they ran out of various items that we had ordered. We left the 3rd time. They comped our drinks which was nice.

Breakfast burrito missing everything. Ran out of bacon. Suppose to have sausage. Then they ran out without telling me. Waited over an hour. And coffee tasted horrible. Suuuper watery. Won’t come back here. And fruit wasn’t fresh! Server wasn’t friendly. She seems miserable and was rude. Smdh

We went for brunch after reading the excellent reviews. Our experience was not good. We were quickly seated and the server was friendly and quick to take our order. The order was so simple — grits, toast and fried eggs but we waited 50 minutes before our food was served and it was cool. The grits were delicious, but cold and the eggs over cooked and cold. They simply can’t handle the crowd on Sunday morning.

stopped in a couple times for tea and coffee. Solid coffee in my opinion. Great staff, super friendly. Nice place that has real small town charm. Spots to sit and sip and also dining tables for the attached restaurant portion.

Horribly horrible coffee. But the girl making it was super sweet. The drip coffee was baaaaaaad. Gas station coffee is better. The almond joy latte was a semi-hot mess. We made it about two blocks before we threw it away. And my husband DOESNOT waste coffee. To him it is a precious possession. I’m only giving two stars because the girl making the coffee was so nice. And. Just a side note. Your establishment crossed over from cute to tacky. You might want to scale back all the knick knacks. It’s too busy, with no real plan. It’s just messy and cluttered.

This will always be forever known as the number 1 coffee spot in Blue Ridge, Ga. In fact, I was at a work function in Atlanta and someone quoted, «We can hang in Blue Ridge and get coffee and L&L Beanery!» L&L is your standard coffee shop but they have a dine in area with pretty good lunch options. I ordered a strawberry salad and everything was fresh and the dressing was homemade. The building is unique and adds to the experience. It’s an old bank that was bought and converted to a coffee shop. You can go into the bank vault and take pictures, too! If you don’t have time to eat, just try their white chocolate frappé. It’s delicious!

I hate that I like their food ’cause I hate their service. For the second year in a row, the sweetie and I spent the weekend in the area at a cabin with some friends. We ate breakfast here last year before leaving town and even though we had crappy service that morning too, everybody loved their food. We were looking forward to going there for breakfast again(especially for the yummy grits!) on this trip… so disappointed. We were sat right away, but it took a while for our server to come over. When she did, there were no pleasantries, just«What do you want to drink? Do you know what you want to eat?» No, we didn’t, especially as you haven’t told us what the quiche of the day is, but whatever. When she brought our drinks, she didn’t even bring the juice one of the people in our party had ordered. We had to ask her for it twice before it came 5 – 7 minutes later. When she finally took our food order, she left all the menus on the table with us– okay, weird. And lazy. We gulped through our first cups of coffee pretty quickly and repeatedly saw servers, ours included, come through the dining area to refill coffee cups but they only went to one table on each trip out. Why they wouldn’t pass through the whole dining room and refill all coffees is beyond me. As our food was delivered, we noticed that we were given things that we didn’t order… And things we did order came out cold. If I’m going to pay you the equivalent of a dozen eggs for you to cook just one for me, you can at least make sure it’s hot when it gets to my table! As the server dropped our food and literally ran from our table, we had to flag her down to get the cold food replaced and and alert her to the un-ordered food, which she removed from the table(not sure what she did with it though but, again, whatever.) We did all enjoy our breakfast food, though the annoyance we felt from the service failures did leave us with a bit of a «bad taste in our mouths.» Our server had another employee drop the check off with us and then, as we were packing up, stopped by to make sure we didn’t want any more coffee. Um yeah, we’re ready to get up out of here. At that point, I would have have rather spent the money to buy another cup of coffee at another establishment on the way home than to have had to wait on her to find a to go cup, bring it to me, etc. I was also especially annoyed that there was a lady walking around the restaurant the whole time who appeared to be the manager(or owner?) and never once did she come by our table to check in on us or notice the crappy service we and others were receiving. Just a shame as the food itself is tasty.

Some dagum good food. I got the half Sammy and Soup and it was on point! Good people and a classic coffee shop vibe made this a 5 star experience. Like governor Arnold once said… I’ll be baaak!

Very standard breakfast. Cool place inside, broken out by several rooms as if it were an old house. Our waitress was pretty cold and the food was solid. The menu lacks creativity, but you’ll find all the staples there — egg plate, omelet, pancakes, etc. The florentine looked good on another table, might go that route in the future. I did have a bite of my mom’s muffin and that was definitely a 4 or 5 star muffin! Very flavorful and moist. That’s on the agenda next time too.

Ok so to qualify this review(at the risk of sounding snobby) — I live in Orlando and we have a pretty amazing food scene down there. Thus, my 3 stars is as compared to food I like to eat although compared to Blue Ridge area towns as a whole, I’d probably give them 4 stars. The layout is sort of confusing. We walked into the door on the left but didn’t know what to do so we left and went into the door on the right where there was a hostess. She brought us around and back to the space on the left. Seems like if you just go sit in the main area(on the left) they bring you menus or go to the right and be sat by the hostess. Upon recommendation from other reviewers — we ordered the chicken salad croissant, tomato soup, and pasta salad. We also got a grilled cheese and a side of mac and cheese. It was all good, not AMAZING, but good. The soup was flavorful and had bits of basil in it but was completely smooth with no chunks(sort of like a glorified canned soup but it tasted better). The chicken salad was pretty tasty. It had whole red grapes in it which was weird but I love chicken salad with grapes and apples and pecans so this hit the spot for me. However, both that and the pasta salad are mayo based and it was full fat mayo which I haven’t had for a long time so that flavor was somewhat overwhelming to me. That being said, I expected it going in so I wasn’t a surprised. The grilled cheese was also good, a pretty standard grilled cheese like I’d make at home. The mac and cheese was creamy but in a way that made me feel like it couldn’t possibly have been made in their kitchen. I could be wrong though. We also got two lattes — an Almond Joy and a Turtle. The Almond Joy was super sweet and the Turtle had almost no flavor outside of the espresso… until the end where by BF found all the chocolate. So at a lack of better places to eat, come here for lunch. It’s good and the service was friendly and pretty fast. I’d come back.

We had a great breakfast here — an omelette stuffed with peppers and onions for me and for my wife, a tasty spinach and cheese crêpe. Nothing fancy, just good food and attentive service. We’ll be back.
