History

Established in 2010.

Chef /​Owner Danny Mellman is a nationally acclaimed chef making his home in the North Georgia Mountains after decades of his own restaurants and consulting restaurants in Southern Florida, New Jersey, and the Carolinas. His first nationally recognized restaurant, The Greenhouse on Captiva Island, Florida — served up local, Farm-​to-​Table fare than decades before the term was hip and cool — to him, using the best, seasonal, sustainable product is simply the only honest way to cook.

We support local farmers and fresh, sustainable products. Some of our partners include: Enchanted Springs, Brasstown Beef, Mark Burger, and Michael Blackwell, as well as our own production from «The Farm.»

The Farm, as we fondly refer to the Blue Ridge Agri-​Cultural Center — is a new development for Chef Mellman and his partner Michelle Moran. In addition to growing product for the restaurant, it will serve as an incubator for local food and culinary traditions connecting the community, the farmer and artis
