Dr Richard Sterling serves the Blue Bell, Pennsylvania and surrounding area with more than 3 decades of experience. As an optometric practice, we provide examinations for glasses, contact lenses, disease management, surgical co-​management and specialty contact lens fittings for nearsightedness, farsightedness, astigmatism and presbyopia.

Established in 2006.

Upon the retirement of Dr. Martin Kalish in 2006, we began running the practice. With 30 + years experience, Dr. Sterling has done a great job of giving his patients the service they have come to expect from the practice over the years.

Dr. Richard Sterling received his Doctor of Optometry degree from the Pennsylvania College of Optometry in 1980. He received his undergraduate degree in science from Pennsylvania State University.

Dr. Sterling has been on the Board of Directors of the Pennsylvania Optometric Association’s as its Secretary/​Treasurer and was the President of the Philadelphia County Optometric Society for many years. Dr. Sterling is still active as a «liaison» with the school of optometry (Salus University). Dr. Sterling is CEO and President of Sterling Enterprises (business broker and consultations).

In 2006 Dr. Sterling bought the practice of Dr. Martin Kalish and immediately transformed it into a full service eye care facility. Dr. Sterling asked Dr. Jean Astorino to see his low vision patients in his office to serve this underserved population.
