Staff is rude. Can’t shoot more than 30 min because they shut down the range for classes all the time. Don’t think having a VIP pass gets you anything. You don’t even get your 10% discount.
If your a female don’t go here. The minute you have an issue with customer service or your gun. You will be treated like a little lady that shouldn’t have a voice. I go to the range to relax and enjoy my hobby. Not to be so frustrated by the staff I can’t even shoot well because I’m so annoyed.
I bought a VIP membership. I should be able to shoot often, free rentals and 10% discount. Every time I go half the range is shut down for a class. I tried to look online when the classes were to avoid those time. No luck. I can only shoot for 30 min because they are so busy. Limiting my shooting time does not make my pass valuable. As I’m leaving the range officer tells the 3 young guys next to me sharing a lane they have 40 minutes left. How is that possible? When everyone else is limited to 30 min. Even if the crowd cleared after I started I should be able to shoot longer if there is no wait. My pass I paid for buys me that.
I picked out a free rental only to have it given away. I was over charged. I told the guy that’s not what it was last time I came. He was rude. Treated me like I didn’t know what I was talking about. I pay and get my receipt. I said you didn’t apply my 10% discount because of my VIP membership. He said sorry about that and walks off. I complain to the shift supervisor. He accused me a line jumping when I picked out my gun. If I did line jump someone should have told me. I would have apologized and got in my place. I certainly don’t think I should be waited on before someone who was there first. Instead the guy waited on me and then gave my gun away. Guns were limited, again, because of classes going on. All the time! The supervisor did not care at all. I even said to him at one point. Forget it. You obviously don’t care.
The range office wasn’t any nicer. My gun jammed while I was shooting. It was my gun. I know it. I clean it. I tried to resolve it but couldn’t. I had no tools on me. If I would have been at my farm I would have resolved it myself. I’m in a range filled with people, so I did what I thought I was supposed to do, I get the range office. He says well the first you thing do is eject the magazine. I said I tried and can’t. He couldn’t eject it either. He was demeaning and very unfriendly. I expect a range officer to be friendly and have a teaching persona about themselves. Every time I go to the range there are more new shooters than experienced. I don’t think anyone should discourage others from coming back or learning. I was so frustrated I wanted to just leave.
Having a pass gets you nothing. It does’t get you range time. It doesn’t get you any special treatment or even any basic customer service you should get as a non-​member.

I have been shooting at Point Blank for about 1.5 years now. It is a first class place, providing a clean, SAFE atmosphere for shooting sports. A large selection of firearms from which to chose, and a large rental pool to try things out first. I also took my CCW course there (Having previously being trained at OPOTA in London). The class was well organized, and the instructor was very knowledgeable. I purchased the «shooter’s pass» and visit the range regularly. Dan H. and Pat always greet us when we come in, and it is clear that our business is appreciated. In short, the Best Range in Cincinnati !

Absolutely terrible customer service. The associates there are rude and not welcoming. They had a mix up with my purchases which delayed me two weeks in processing my purchase. This company is not aware of how to treat customers.

Our team, completed the CCW class at Point Blank and could not have had a better experience. For many members of our team, this was the first time firing a weapon. The staff was helpful and very capable and made everyone feel safe and confident through the entire class. I would recommend this company for anything firearm related.

Ladies nights are awesome at Point Blank Range. As a writer, I had been wanting to shoot guns for awhile, so I could write more believably if I were to ever have a shooting scene in my work.
And then one of my best friends came up with a brilliant idea she calls «Violins and Violence.» As a really good shot and gun fan, she was the perfect person to take me out for my first target experience. And honestly, Point Blank is the perfect place for a newbie (and her friend who is actually quite knowledgable about firearms). «Five dollars ladies nights on Tuesdays,» she said, «for half an hour lane time.» After we shoot guns, we go back to her house and practice our violins, so after she’d taught me more about firing weapons, I teach her what I know from my years of orchestral experience.
The first time we went, I definitely got a lot of good advice from both my friend and the staff at Point Blank. I was terrified to fire the gun for the first time, and they helped set my nerves and mind at ease with all their safety tips. I look forward to going back next time, as one of the staff members recommended a different type of hand gun to us for our return visit.

I have been in Point Blank multiple times now, and each time has been great. Every time I have been in the staff have been helpful and very knowledgeable.
This place is extremely clean and well maintained. Yes, it is a little more expensive than that other place down the road, but you really get what you pay for. I, for one, would much rather shoot at a place that is well maintained, well equipped and well staffed than one that in my sole opinion is just mediocre.
Point Blank has both rifle and pistol ranges here. The weekend we went, we waited as there were 5 of us and we needed 2 rifle lanes (which going into shoot — we knew there would be a wait). I am confused by some of the reviews when people commented on having to wait. Again, this is a nicer place to go to shoot, so obviously there are going to be more people shooting here and you might have a bit of a wait. We only waited like 15 minutes… wow…big deal… personally, that gave me time to shop (jackpot)…not so sure that my boyfriend thought about that since I found like 5 things I liked — and my birthday is coming up! Hint Hint!
They offer classes here, you can rent different guns and rifles to shoot, they seem to offer deals on Groupon quite a bit, and they offer Law Enforcement/​Military/​First Responder discounts.
This is definitely my favorite indoor range.

The people are very friendly, essentially Mac and they always go above and beyond to be helpful. The facility is always clean and safe. They go out of their way to remember repeat customers. Their prices are competitive and they are investing their profits back into the business to help it grow.
My whole family loves to go there and they can’t say enough good things about Point Blank. Sure, it would be nice if they had a 100 yard range but the friendly people make up for that, and the other location does have a 100 yard range.
I hope to get a chance to go to the new range soon, but we always have a good time.
It would be nice if the range was open later in the evening because getting off work and making it there in time with traffic can be difficult, but they have families too. I have never seen them push anyone out the door at closing time, and they have stayed late several times when I have been there.

Comparing to target world this place is definitely more expensive. I was able to find a decent deal on groupons for 29 dollars which includes 10 $ for ammunition, 1 hr lane for up to two people, a free handgun/​rifle rental, and they also provide ear and eye protection for up to two people. A pretty good deal in my opinion.
They’re not as busy as target world so there’s barely any wait time.

They like to price gouge on 22 ammo. Charging 2 – 3 times normal price. Example 6 bucks for 50 rounds of Remington thunderbolt. $ 16 for 100 rounds of cci minimag. Other prices on ammo in the normal range. Firearms priced in the higher than average range. Range is nice.

I love how clean this place is! The people are really nice and they are very knowledgeable about the weaponry. They also have pretty good specials too!

A lot better than that target world place. The range is clean and has safety guides walking around making sure people aren’t doing something stupid. You can pretty much shoot anything here less than a .50 Machine gun rounds. I shoot my shotgun and pistols here all the time. The range has around 20 lanes total, and those are divided between like 4 rifle lanes and 16 pistol lanes. You can shoot shotgun on the pistol lanes. Your first time at a lane will include a $ 3 waiver and watching a safety video. That is good for a year and is attached to your license.
They have a few memberships as well, one is like 34.99/month and the other is 59.99/month. The main difference is you can check out any of their rental guns for free with the VIP membership and bring guests for free.
But enough about the range, let’s talk weapons. Their are plenty of weapons here for the discerning gun enthusiast. They have everything from Smith and Wesson to Heckler and Koch. I think their used gun selection is a little small, but they have a ton of brand new weapons for you to drool over. I have compared their prices to other gun stores in the area and they are pretty comparable on their prices. They also have accessories and holsters for a lot of different setups. They also sell safes, and range bags. There are two bathrooms and a soda machine. The employees are pretty laid back and there is no pressure to be felt in the atmosphere.
I totally recommend this store!

So only having two ranges close to my house, target world and point blank– I went to point blank for maybe the 4^th time hoping my experiences there would not keep repeating. First, the plus column.
–It is a clean range and very new so aesthetically its nice, good lane space, good target distancing systems so you know exactly how far out the target goes.
— Very well stocked gun store, they have about everything you could want if you don’t mind paying high end prices for anything from cleaning kits to high end rifles.
Now for the many minuses:
— Prices, the lanes are almost 30% more expensive than the other ranges in the area and they charge you for adding a second person to a lane, defeating the purpose of sharing a lane in my opinion. Ammo here is also jacked up pretty high (not an issue for myself as I buy in bulk online) I suggest not buying ammo here if you can at all help it.
— The staff. This is my biggest issue with this place. The front counter staff for the range has always been snarky and down right rude sometimes. The most recent example– my buddy asked about the range card fee and he said he must have lost his card from last time– the employee responded «Wellll. that’s because we don’t give cards out…» pretty condescendingly. its your first time there and you ask questions abut the range be prepared for sarcastic answers to simple safety questions and price inquires. I went as far as to ask about their firearms classes and the so well known «gun store expert» came out of the staff member, telling me the class I was asking about was not the training I needed– knowing nothing about my firearms background.
This place uses RSOs (range safety officers). I think this is a good safety measure as I have seen a lot of places without them having people doing very unsafe things. The line I draw is when they plant themselves behind you (3 feet) and watch you the entire time you’re shooting even if your doing nothing wrong or unsafe.
— loaded firearms rules– apparently one is not allowed to load their own pistol after finishing lane times and holster it as I have a CCW and arrive at the range armed and leave armed. Upon seeing me load my CCW pistol with my carry ammo and re-​holster it inside my waistband holster I was told I was not allowed to have a loaded firearm unless I was on the firing line. I told the RSO I had a CCW and was walking right out of the door as soon as I exited the range and assured him I wouldn’t be back again to which he scoffed. I understand safety, but being treated like an incapable child is crossing a line to me.
So there you have it, the facility itself is outstanding, but it comes at the price of bad customer service, inflated prices and rude and condescending staff. If any of the owners/​manager happen to be reading this, know that many people I know have the same feelings and are heading to target world instead since they remodeled and now have rifle lanes. Might want to have some customer service training.

Very clean range and helpful staff. I read some of the reviews posted before mine and I don’t understand why everyone rated so low. Yes, it gets busy because it is a good, clean range. The business can’t be faulted for that. I think the staff does a great job managing their clientele. I most recently visited on Father’s Day weekend. My fault really — extremely busy weekend, but everyone in line got processed in a professional manner and were assigned lanes as soon as they were available. My friends and I had to wait a little longer because we wanted a rifle lane, but that wasn’t a problem because we were able to browse the large selection of guns in the store, which were almost all on sale :)
Reason for four stars is solely because the actual shooting area was very full. I don’t necessarily think it’s a small space, but I don’t think they should allow as many people per lane. The Range Safety Officer didn’t seem to enforce the rules and being someone who is well versed in firearms, I was extremely anxious to be around so many people who clearly knew nothing about them (the other customers, not the staff). Maybe it’s just me, but a busy weekend is not the time to teach your panicked wife how to shoot an AR…

We purchased a Groupon for range time for two people, which was a great deal. The store was very clean and the employees were so helpful. We didn’t have to wait at all for our range time, and the guns we rented were in good condition. We were able to change guns throughout our hour of time at no charge. We had a great experience and will be back!

Too busy and not enough lanes. Very clean but pricey and their membership used to be a good deal but they have changed to an expensive membership that doesn’t make sense unless you shoot a lot and every week. They do keep good stock of ammo.

Place was clean and seemed safe but the staff was extremely rude. I have gone to target world for years but I thought I would try out this place because it was closer. The staff seem like they would rather be doing something else than helping people.
They also charge for EVERYTHING! They charge for a second person on a lane, for ear and eye protection, and to renew their safety pass every year. They are more expensive than most for the lane as well.
I don’t mind paying more if I get more for my money but it doesn’t seem like that is the case.
If you can find somewhere else to go, do it but Cincinnati doesn’t have much to offer. Maybe their other locations have friendlier service.

The good: it is new and clean.
The bad: Employees and members can be abused by General Manager/​Owner.
Staff is knowledgeable, if they ever have time to stop and answer questions. My wife and I used to be members until a scheduling discrepancy that was allowed by Point Blank’s online software caused a conflict and we were abused by the GM. When an employee checked the website and backed my wife’s story, the GM demanded that the employee «shut up» and then told my wife he wouldn’t discuss it further. We demanded a full refund of membership and it was given. The high turnover of staff is probably being caused by this abusive man. Men, be careful, because this misogynist will not treat your wives or girlfriends well.

I haven’t been to many shooting range/​shops, in fact, just two. But this one is far superior to the other one I visited. My roommate and I went with the intention of learning a little more about guns so that we can be well educated enough to buy some in the future. The staff was extremely friendly! It took a while to talk to someone because they were a little busy, but we eventually got some information.
They were especially helpful to us as beginners. We told them we really had no clue, and they said trying out guns at the range was the best option. The Range Marshal Dude (or whatever he was called — can you tell I’m still a newbie?) was extremely friendly and helpful. I have not been to a range in a long time due to the last experience (different place) where the marshal seemed extremely annoyed with our ignorance on the shooting subject. However this guy said he would fully show us how to shoot & handle the weapon, and made suggestions on what guns to try out.
One thing thought — they said there were marshals on the range available at all times — there wasn’t any physical person in there, so I guess they meant they were available so long as you walked off the range.
Over all — great experience. I’ll be visiting the place again soon, and I’m sure to give them five stars if they show consistency in their friendliness and helpfulness.

With range choices already limited to those in Cincinnati it was very refreshing to see another public range open up. I think that if you could describe this entire review it would be the principles of supply and demand at work. Meaning that the demand is so high, their motivation to please is extremely low.
The range is in a nice area of town and easy enough to get to however there are hardly enough parking spots to have 20 ranges, classrooms, a gun store, and people waiting to shoot in their small lot. This wouldn’t be an issue if it was somewhere else but given its location there are not a wide range of places to even walk from.
Upon parking and walking into the store the first thing that hit me is how much open space they had on their shelves and how many guns were actually in boxes behind the counter, this struck me as odd. To me this means that their selection is low but that their stock is still high. But I wasn’t in the market to buy guns, just shoot mine.
After taking two steps I was confronted with a huge line and asked the guy in front of me if this was the line for the range and got a «yup» after standing there for about 20 minutes a small girl came up and yelled «take a number and we will call you» which was a nice idea however the fact that you could barely hear them call the numbers made it so everyone had to crowd the counter anyways. They were calling about one number every 10 minutes and then it hit me, since most people were new they were required to watch their safety video and rather then have groups of people doing it at once they are doing it one at a time.
Well my uncle and I decided just to go watch it with the current group and sign the sheets so we wouldn’t have to delay everyone else and a few others agreed and followed suit. This made the girl mad, but she let us do it as long as we held onto our papers while we were waiting. My favorite part of the safety video is how you are supposed to hold onto (ie. «ride») the slide forward… For those of you that don’t know guns this is terrible for the gun.
After watching the video my uncle finally returned and let me know that there were in fact 10 open ranges and that the reason we were waiting so long is because they only had one cash register open and one girl who obviously didn’t know what she was doing. For example when we finally got up I asked for 40 S&W and was handed 9 mm.
So with that in mind the range was clean but if I was them I would open up another cash register and hire some people that know guns! Its crazy to let paying be your bottleneck as a business!
