Just popped in this place a few days ago for the first time. I am not vegetarian, but I enjoy partaking in some of the more tastier(and healthy) veg option. I had been looking to buy some tempeh and called around to a few local grocery stores and health food places. As Nature Intended was the only place with it in stock… so there I went. When you walk in the door you get the typical smell of incense, which i feel is pretty typical of the small independently owned health food shops. The place is clean, well organized and has a pretty impressive selection of stuff for such a small place. I grabbed my tempeh and the woman who was there was very nice and was offering recommendations for about this tempeh product or that one. She was very nice, helpful and informative. The prices were also fair. Sometimes trying to eat healthy means getting robbed at the register, but I didn’t feel that way at all. They had a bin of books that they were letting customers take one for free over a certain purchase price. I looked through them… they were mostly hippie books, and books on the conspiracy theories of vaccinations… I held back rolling my eyes, and just went on making my purchase. It was a nice offer though. You judge places like As Nature Intended by your own perimeters, but I’ll say that I enjoyed my brief stop in, and I’ll be going back.
