Our food embodies Classic American cuisine at its finest. The dinner menu specializes in premium Certified Angus Beef & chops, fresh fish & seafood, pastas, poultry, and many other selections. The Minnesota Beef Council recognized Woolley’s with the 2009 Beef Backer Award. Only one restaurant that exemplifies quality and creativity in their use of beef products receives this award each year.

At lunch we focus on casual American food; sandwiches, salads, wraps, melts, but also has a selection of our best entrées in lunch portions. We were voted ‘great for lunch’ by Opentable.com users. Our delicious salad bar with fresh ingredients to build your own salad is available for lunch and dinner with soups that are made from scratch daily.

Established in 1986.

Since 1986 Woolley’s Steakhouse has been known for mouth watering steaks, fresh fish, seafood — and outstanding service. My wife loves filet mignon so when I was planning our 14^th wedding anniversary dinner, I knew I had to get it right. We had been to Wooley’s a few years ago for another special occasion and had a great experience then, and last night’s dinner was no exception. It was also wine lover’s night where all bottles of wine were ½ off so our friendly and knowledgeable server Shawn recommended a few varieties and even asked if we wanted to taste a bargain wine special that was ¹⁄₃ the menu price. We tried it and it was OK, but we chose a favorite Pinot Noir instead. My wife ordered the 10 oz King’s cut with shallot demi-glacé encrusted with blue cheese and bacon! Yum!!! It was wonderfully tender and you could almost cut it with a fork. She said it was one of the best she’s had! I had their evening’s special t-bone lamb chops that came with the unlimited salad bar. While the salad bar was not as extensive as others you may find, everything was very fresh and well-chilled, something that I want in a salad bar. My dinner plate had 2 thick bone-in lamb chops perfectly charred and smoky with a delicious demi-glacé sauce atop a carrot purée, potato and cheese croquettes, and grilled baby carrots. Although my medium rare chops were a bit fatty, the lamb was succulent and delicious! I can’t think of a better steakhouse in the Twin Cities I’d rather go to than Wooley’s.

Located within the Embassy Suites near the Mall of America, this is one reasons I stay here while in St Paul. The food is terrific and the wait staff keeps my water glass full.
I’ve never been disappointed with any of the food. See my latest photos for proof.

Very underwhelming dinner. I called in to order the lemon chicken to go. Wasn’t till I got there that I found out they don’t have it on the menu anymore. So I ordered the grilled salmon with a baked potato with shaved Brussels sprouts. The salmon was not good. A little fishier than I would’ve liked and extremely dry and overcooked. Not seasoned. The baked potato was dry and there were no add-ons given for it. And the shaved Brussels sprouts were weird and tasteless. this was not a good to go dinner. I came back to my hotel and ordered something different to eat.

I tried Woolleys for the first time during restaurant week. I have never been in my life treated so terribly at a restaurant. I get better service at McDonalds. I had to be asked to be seated. I didn’t get a waiter. I had to flag someone down to place and order after waiting for 15 min. 30 min later my food still had not come. I had to get water from the bar because no one bothered to refill my water. I asked to speak to a manager and she apologized and offered me a free dessert when all I had asked for was a waiter and my food. My food was finally brought out, it was wrong but by then I was so hungry I didn’t care. I waited for my bill for another 20 minutes after eating and no one helping me before walking out in disgust. I have never felt so invisible. No excuse for this lack of service.

This was delish for our date night! The horseradish salad hit the spot and our server recommended that for the steak on top, if I usually prefer medium rare, order it cooked medium. I’m glad I did because it definitely was cooked medium rare. Overall a good experience.

I still really like coming here. It’s just a place that gives me good vibes. I love the salad bar; it’s always one of my faves. Sometimes, I eat too much of the salad bar stuff, and I don’t save enough room for their great entrees. I, also, like the fact that they’re open on Christmas Eve, which is just awesome. I’ve finally gotten fed up with the frankenfood served at our crowded family Xmas party, and I’ve just stopped going. Who needs to be cramped into a less than thousand square-foot area with thirty people? Not me. I go here for my Xmas eve meal, and I’m never disappointed. This time I got the spareribs, and they were pretty damn good. I was little filled up from the salad bar, though. Also, look for their walleye sandwich. I just love that thing, and their seafood always tastes fresh-which can be an issue in Minnesota.
Sadly, they no longer do their brunch buffet on Sundays. That’s a real Debbie Downer. After Santorini’s closed and this place stopped brunch, I don’t know where to go for my Sunday brunch buffet.

We sat at the bar. Service was top notch. Get the walleye sandwich — it does not disappoint. I don’t even like tartar sauce… but the homemade tartar sauce on this sandwich is something else. Mmmm!!!

Great steakhouse for a hotel restaurant. Had the rib eye and it was prepared almost perfectly. The bar has a fantastic craft beer selection. Simply put, you can’t go wrong here… A great find for an airport hotel!

Quality food, time and again. Superb selection of food and wine. Everything I’ve had there has tasted wonderful. There does seem to be issues surrounding the relationship between the hotel and the restaurant, but it’s hard to lay the blame for that solely on the restaurant. In general, the staff have been professional and efficient. The streaks are, as might be expected, of high quality, but so is all the seafood I’ve had there too. The appetizers and sides are moderately creative and well executed. Definitely worth a shot.

This hidden gem is located in the beautiful Embassy Suites in Bloomington by Mall of America. This place is top notch for fine dining in a unique spot. My wife and I usually go here for special occasions such as an anniversary, birthday, etc.
First of all, the location: it feels like you are in a beautiful garden complete with waterfall. The lights are dim and you cannot tell that you are in a hotel atrium. If you are lucky to be seated in the gazebo area, even better! Very cool space.
The Food: The food is simply amazing. We have had many different entrees here but I keep coming back to their delicious pastas. The Cajun Pasta is great, but my favorite is the Black and Blue Pasta, blue cheese, seared red onions, and steak… can’t beat that combo! And at the end of every meal you get house-made lemon cotton candy to cleanse your palate. Now that is awesome!
The Service: The people are super friendly and always smiling. Service is professional and prompt.
The Price: Super affordable for what you get. This place has the quality of a 5-star restaurant but won’t cost you an arm and a leg. Very reasonable prices.

Service was great but food left a bit to be desired. Ordered M-rare prime rib that was served warm and more medium than rare. It was bland with only flavor on the edges. Broccoli was cooked perfect but had too much salt and pepper so couldn’t even eat.
I would only recommend for travelers staying at the embassy suites.

This is a rather small restaurant inside of a hotel near MOA in MN. When I was there the service, although a little slower, was understandable since it seemed our waitress was the only waitress for all the tables.
So down to what really matters, the food.
I got the lamb chop based off another review I saw on Unilocal.The chops, although ok, were by no means great. They were slightly overcooked but in the end were ok. My business parter got a steak. He ordered it Med-rare and it came out closer to rare. He seemed to like it so the temp was not a deal breaker.
Wings were wings, nothing special.
Will I return… maybe if I want to be lazy and not drive any distance over 5mins

On a business trip I had the opportunity to dine at this establishment and found that the food is spectacular. I only wish my stay was longer so I could sample more items on the menu.
I started the meal with one of my favorite appetizers «French Onion Soup» which was one of the best I have ever tasted.
Next came the Lamb chops which where cooked to my tastes, rare. Once again the plate was perfectly plated and prepared.
If you ever find yourself near this place be sure to stop and have a meal. You will not be disappointed.

There was some confusion from my friends about where exactly the restaurant was located. It would be helpful if there was some sort of more visible signage outside of the hotel indicated that Woolley’s is located inside. One of my friends ended up calling and asking for directions from the hotel parking lot «Just come on in Sir».
After all of us arrived our server was very friendly about explaining the restaurant week menu. Walleyed done 3 ways was ordered while my boyfriend and I went with the upgraded option of Surf and Turf and Filet Mignon. Even the medium rare beef was overdone more than we liked. The food was decent but pretty pricey. Honestly we’ve never been super impressed with restaurants located within hotels. I guess I read that this one is independently operated but I’ve had better quality steak for less in other restaurants in the cities. It was also odd that we got a private conference room. It would have been cooler to dine in the main area with foliage (not sure if they were real). There was this weird buzzing noise initially from the speakers but our server noticed and either was able to turn it off or I just got so used to it that I filtered out the horror movie-ish background music. I saw an earlier photo of a crème brûlée from restaurant week with a smaller portion than what we got from the same restaurant. Soup and entrée portions were on the smaller end so not sure why we were rewarded with the surplus for dessert but I’ll take it.

Despite this restaurant being in the burbs and in a hotel, they know how to prepare excellent food and to serve their patrons well.
I’ve been here a few times (I forget to check in) and I’ve yet to be disappointed with the meal. Other than some of their desserts (don’t get anything mousse-like), I’m very happy to have whatever I choose.
If you’re seeking a great place for an adult brunch that’s run well, here’s your spot. The variety and quality of food is surprising (again, ignore the location) and well worth the cost. You get much more than you pay for here, easily.
