This diner could be really great if it was better run. I’ve been here on multiple occasion and food initially was really great but there is no consistency. The burgers and mushrooms are the best. But each time, I come in, it’s different. Their Wednesday special is meat loaf with corn. The first time I got it, it was great. Next time, same special with corn that I ordered, I got beans instead of corn and brown gravy instead of initial white gravy with no notice that it’s different than what’s on the board. Both were good, but why not update their blackboard so I know what I’m ordering? Next time when they showed their special on the board and I ordered, they came back 10 minutes later saying they didn’t even make their special that day. Fries initially were crispy and great enough that I’d come there for the fries, but then they changed to fries that are below average. Same thing with pickles that went on burgers: they went from long sliced deli style to your basic McDonalds style. Initial waitress was amazing, but now more inconsistencies in staff and service is suffering. To add to all that, now they are even inconsistent with their operating hours where at lunch time, their doors were closed with no explanation on the doors of when they would re-open. Technically this should be lower than 3 stars based on all the issues, but Two K’s is a new business and maybe they will get it right, especially since their food was great. I hope they can get their act together so I can update this review to 5 stars.

I really wanted to like this place. I love rooting for local places to do well. I will start with the positives. The concept is good. The waitress was friendly. The food was okay. But I just didn’t like the condition of the restaurant. I was there fairly early in the day(early lunch) and the floor looked like it had not been cleaned in several days. The table tops were not clean and I say that plural as I looked across the room and saw many not clean. I used the ketchup, the bottle was sticky and messy. Another table close to me made the same observations. It is unusual to see a place be so unclean, but it was. Other than that the order came out wrong, which isn’t a huge deal. I just wouldn’t go back because of how dirty it was. If that is what we are seeing in the front do we even want to know about the back?

Hamburger was great. Italian beef was OK, it just needed more vegetables green peppers onions and mushrooms, and cut back on the salt thats in everything. Sorry I’m just not into salt.

Cute little diner. But nothing unique or exciting on the menu. Having said that, I had a bite of my bf’s burger. This could be a contender for best burger in town. The only downfall to it was the bun which was too soft to stand up to the juicy goodness. The fries were tasty but had something on them to make them crisper. I personally ordered the Italian beef with chips. It was a wee bit dry but the Italian seasoning of the meat was very tasty. A quick dip in au jus would have been great.

A great place to eat for lunch and now they have a set menu for us to try for dinner. Can’t wait to pick a night to try. Jaricka was a delightful host and reminded us of the daily special. Will not hesitate to go again and again. J.R. Always fixes an awesome entrée/appetizers.

Had a really good«double» burger! Also had the combo appetizer, which was really good. A buddy and i ate here at about 11am and there was no wait, but soon after we got our food the place became full. The outdoor seating filled up as well. The paragraph just ran an article about this new place which may have helped bring extra people here today. The place has only been open for 3 weeks. Good food, good service, i will be back!
