Specialty gourmet signature pizzas delivered in Bloomington IN

History

Established in 2012.

Trailhead Pizzeria is a local family-owned enterprise that started with a landmark restaurant called Scenic View. Nestled in the forest overlooking the Monroe lake basin, Scenic View promotes comfort foods with a gourmet twist. This same approach was then extended to a new facility just up the road to create a unique pizzeria. While standard items are on the menu, Trailhead Pizzeria offers gourmet signature pizzas that have a twist of their own, e.g.the Ridge Runner (BBQ sauce, pulled pork and pineapple); the Bad Rabbit Basil (basil pesto sauce, artichoke, roasted red pepper and blue cheese); and Squatchy Veg (butternut squash sauce spinach, broccoli, zucchini, leeks) to name just a few. Trailhead just completed remodeling its dining room to include an entertainment stage to promote local musicians. The location is unique as well; close to Bloomington so that its carry-out serves not only the nearby recreational campgrounds and marinas, but also the Indiana University campus.

Meet the Manager

Ryan B.

Manager

Ryan had a vision that Trailhead Pizzeria would be a perfect extension of the service at Scenic View restaurant. He and his wife, Jenny Bell, have been managing Scenic View for five years, and they wanted to have a more informal dining service that could provide carry-out and delivery to the surrounding recreations and the Indiana University campus. It took several years for Ryan and Jenny to accomplish, but through extraordinary perseverance Trailhead evolved into something uniquely «upscale rustic», which is true to Ryan’s original vision.
