Nice staff, decent house beer and they often have pretty great specials. THE WINGS, the best wings in town. I live here my whole life and only figure that out. Go after 9 and get some half prices aps and 75cent wings. They are very very good

This is a great place. Wonderful, wide selection of beer on tap — I especially enjoyed the number of the local brews on tap. The menu offers lots of good choices as well. I opted for a bison burger on pretzel bun with onion rings. Ok, not the healthiest choice, but it was delicious. Service was wonderful — pleasant and helpful with suggestions. I was checked on often (kept the water refills coming) without being pestered. Lots of TVs around with a variety of sporting events on. One of the better places in downtown Bloomington. I’ll stop in again if in town.

Great atmosphere to go with friends, watch some sports, and relax. Great place to go to in Bloomington. Would rank higher than most Buffalo Wild Wings

Do you want to grab some drinks and eat some greasy food while watching sports on the tv in an unpretentious atmosphere then this is your place.
Their beer they brew is acceptable and their special pork tacos were better than expected. But the loud and drunk clientele after an IU football game (mostly visitors) got old pretty quick.

We went for an early dinner on a Friday night. With my SO and a local friend. We were seated quickly and our server (Jayda sp?) brought us water and took our drink order. She returned promptly with my porter and a sample of anther porter she thought I might like. We ordered a tater tot nacho starter and our meals. The appetizer arrived about eight minutes later and was outstanding. I was really pleased that we had time to enjoy our app and our meals did not arrive while we were still working on the app. A few minutes after jayda cleared our starter our meals arrived. My poutine burger was prepared as ordered and was great (how can a burger with cheese curds and fries on it be bad?). Everyone else enjoyed their meals, Jaida (who had at least two other tables) was attentive.
I have to admit I had pretty low expectations for the meal and was pleasantly surprised. This is not fine dining but a good, bar food experience.

I’ve stopped in twice while in Bloomington for business. Both times I had a very good meal and quite good service. No complaints.

I came here tonight and ordered a medium burger. I had to send it back twice because they were well-​done. The manager politely insisted that I give it a third try, and since I was in no rush, I decided to oblige. The third time it came out rare. Now, since it was local beef, and I knew where they get there beef, I didn’t complain, although I lied about it being cooked correctly. I just couldn’t stomach wasting more beef.
I wasn’t upset; I understand things like this happen. I also saw that the line-​cooks were embarrassed. With the staff apologizing and the attitude of the line-​cooks, I assumed that it was an off night.

Came here with my boys ages 7 and 11. My 11 year old said it was the best burger he ever had. This is high praise coming from a really picky eater. The service was great too!

A lot of people harp on the service at this restaurant, but I eat dinner here every Thursday and with good reason. The food is great, a bit pricey if you are on a budget, which I am, but this is my weekly treat to myself. The fries, burgers, wraps and apps all rarely disappoint. I haven’t had everything on the menu but it’s all worth trying… now for the breakdown:
Food: the food is good. My perfect meal at this location is the Dill Chips with the mofo mustard, and the sweet chicken club wrap with waffle fries with Cajun spices. I always wash it all down with gallons of delicious sweet tea. I do try the burger of the month every month and they are usually good. (They once made a goat burger that left something to be desired). They have a variety of sides but stick to the waffle fries… they are excellent. If you want to lay off fried food, have the broccoli as a side instead, it’s delicious and very well seasoned. This place is classic American food, mostly sandwiches. If you want a salad, well I have never eaten one here. But those that have, suggest the buffalo breath chicken salad. Don’t forget the dill chips… if you have never had a fried pickle, try one here… nobody does it better than Scotty’s…and I have had a lot of fried pickles.
Service: I understand the concerns… and I have gotten that before here too… but, I have four words… Sit. At. The. Bar. Seriously, some of the wait staff is sketchy, but the bartenders are incredible and attentive and always pay close attention. They never give attitude when stuff gets sent back and have an incredible knowledge of the menu and have the respect of the kitchen staff so things get done. They will mix you a drink, keep your glass full or always be ready to give you another beer. They don’t mind changing the screens to the game of your choice and are okay if you are picky about it. Not to mention if the place is busy, sitting at the bar is quicker. But seriously, sit at the bar and tip at least 20%. (No I don’t work there but these guys deserve it).
Cleanliness: the place is clean. 4 hours every Thursday and tons of tea means I’m gonna go. I have severe OCD and the bathroom cleanliness matters a lot. They keep the place clean and I’m rarely having issues with the cleanliness of the place.

Nice bar food! I love that they offer spicy dishes. So many times restaurants avoid the heat in their food, but a lot on the menu here is spicy and I love it. I recommend the mac and cheese!

So I’ve been to scottys brew house numerous times … Girls night out, casual lunches, date night with the hubby, and every time I’ve gone the drinks are spot on (Martinis especially). The food is great and I have had no complaints. That being said :
My husband asks me tonight «should we (our kids included, 2 and 5 year old) go to scottys and eat outside? … » I say YES! Not only am I excited for yummy food but also because my husband had knee surgery 8 weeks ago– he’s just now walking, but still on crutches. (a night out was needed for us)
We showed up at scottys and there were a bunch of tables (like 7) available outside. We go inside and the hostess says there’s a 10 min wait … We asked to sit outside, she said that wait will be longer so she will sit us inside. (hmm ok?)
10 min pass– we are being seated (this is why I give two stars): the hostess brings us to other end of the restaurant, on the platform seating area (steps… For the guy on crutches… Again… Ok), THEN seats us at a bar top table … stools …3ft+ off the ground … For my two year old! No boosters or restraints! The table was up to my 5 year old’s chin while my 2 year old was sitting on her knees while I guarded her on the side to make sure she didn’t fall off the stool itself.
I understand scottys can’t accommodate every single person … (I.e. My husband and his crutches… That’s fine), but be prepared for families with young kids (occasionally). I mean… you have an actual kid’s menu so it’s clear kids ARE welcomed there … Just not actually accommodated for. .
Food was great, service itself was fine. The hostesses should be better trained though. Overall our experience at scottys for a «family outing» was not ideal.

We dropped in to grab a quick bite and were able to sit at the bar immediately. The bartender was friendly but a little pre-​occupied BUT she was swamped, so no big deal. The manager made his rounds to be sure everyone was happy. We were.
The beer selection is great. The greasy appetizers were great too. I had a couple Goose Island 312s and the Pistol Pete Pretzel Stix. Both were delicious.
This place has good food, good drinks, good vibes. It gets 4 stars instead of 5 because it wasn’t much different from other sports bars I’ve been to.
Get you some!

I’m 2-​for-​2 on great visits here for lunch. The menu has tons of options, maybe too many for some. At establishments like this, I tend to stick to what I know — wings, buffalo chicken, fried pickles, burgers, and so on. All of the above are great here, and in my limited experience, the service has been pretty good as well. I’ll be back.

It was cool. This is was first time visiting the restaurant. Not really impressed by it. The blue cheese salad was tasty for lunch. Scotty’s is Its just ok.

Scotty’s es uno de los restaurantes que más he frecuentado durante mi estancia en la IU. Localizado cerca del centro de la ciudad, quizás un poco del Campus y Kirkwood, se asienta en un amplio y chulísimo local, que además acepta Campus Access.
Tal y como mencionaba el local es muy pintoresco. Muy americano. Pantallas de televisión, neones, carteles y todo lo que te puedas imaginar desperdigado por las paredes dejando apenas unos centímetros libres de decoración. El servicio es aceptable, igual no tan eficiente o atento como en otros restaurantes de la zona, pero suficientemente bueno.
La carta, al igual que el restaurante, es muy americana. En ella puedes encontrar numerosos appetizers (alitas, riquísima quesadilla, ensaladas, palitos de mozzarela…) y muchos platos principales, la mayoría de ellos tacos, costillas y hamburguesas. Como en la mayoría de restaurantes americanos de la zona, el precio del plato ronda los 12 $, y hay refill gratuito. De toda la carta caben destacar las hamburguesas, puedes elegir por un lado la carne y la calidad de la misma (que es lo que determina el precio de la misma), y por otro los ingredientes y el estilo de la misma.
No puedo terminar este comentario sin mencionar antes especialmente una de las mejores hamburguesas que me he tomado en toda mi vida: la Big Ass Burger con side order por 15 $. Cuatro hamburguesas de la mejor calidad envueltas en queso y atravesadas por un palo que ensarta el sándwich con trozos de pepinillo. Además de tener el tamaño de mi cabeza tiene un sabor increíble y único. Desde luego tenéis que probarla (o compartirla si no sois tan bestias como un servidor).

Stephanie at the bar is awesome. Bison is great; wings are good. Beer is Indiana local or your big brews. I am really enjoying now! Variety.
