I had my wisdom teeth removed by Dr. Tate and all went as planned, no issues, I was pleased. However, my post-​op guidance was not as thorough as I felt it should have been. The office failed to mention some essential information regarding hygiene — flushing out the empty holes with a syringe. When they did mention it, it was only because I called thinking I had an infection. When I decided that I was fine and didn’t need to be seen, they never followed up with me and failed to mention that the holes do need to be cleaned no sooner than 5 days after surgery or you risk having the holes close with food trapped inside, requiring that the holes be lanced. I felt this was pertinent information… that I only discovered when I made the call to go in and ensure that the holes were healing properly. Had I not made the move to go back and see them, I’m not sure if anyone would have told me or showed me how to clean the holes (with a special syringe). I wish I was told this from the onset, and lemme tell you, those suckers sink if they’re not irrigated. That’s all. Otherwise, his team was very nice.

I had my wisdom teeth taken out by Dr. Tate on Friday. I couldn’t have been more pleased! Dr. Tate and his assistants were super nice and answered all the questions I could think of. They gave a very thorough explanation of what they would be doing and made sure I was comfortable. The surgery went smoothly and Dr. Tate even called me later that evening to make sure I was doing okay. I am making a great recovery and haven’t had any complications. I recommend Dr. Tate to anyone that needs oral surgery.

Sott Tate, along with the rest of his staff, are as good as it gets when it comes to getting your wisdom teeth removed. The staff is friendly, professional, and experienced. After my surgery I got a call from Scott Tate to make sure I was feeling okay. This oral surgeon really cares about his patients. Thank you, Scott.

I could not have been happier with any other surgeon! I had 28 teeth removed. We were given a detailed description of all the possible scenarios and had it done that day. He even called me at 9:30 in the evening to see how I was doing. He also asked how I felt about the procedure and the anesthetic he used. I don’t know how many doctors do that in this day and age!

This oral surgeon is the WORST ever! My girlfriend got her oral surgery done here after referral from «the gentle dentist» because her insurance covered the procedure if it would be done here. Tate stuck her arm several times in the same antecubital vein and caused infiltration. That was the beginning. After the procedure, she had severe pain and was undermedicated as well as ignored when she followed up with complaints of pain 30 and even 45 days after the procedure. At this point I mentioned to her to file a malpractice suit while we were alone in the room and I’m pretty sure someone overheard it. Then all of a sudden he became concerned with her pain and then took it more seriously. We should have filed the suit, but being as forgiving as she is, she didn’t bother. I would never recommend this guy to anyone, even if I didn’t like the person!
